From the moment a kid becomes of age, the kid has to attend some type of school, first elementary, then middle and finally high school. Going to school seemed like an endless chore that your parents made you do everyday except on the weekends. After recently graduating from high school I decided to attend college. College and high school have many differences and some similarities when it comes to classes, food and people. But college is better because it more relaxed and allows students to have more freedom. When I attended high school I went to West Forsyth High School all four years. The first two years are required to take the courses health and gym or dance. There weren’t many classes for students to choose from and sometimes didn’t get the classes you signed up for. If a student did not like one of their classes it was very hard to switch out of it. The student would have to go to the guidance office to put in a request, just to see if the principal would let you switch your class. I went to school seven hours a day and five days out of the week. During my freshman year I had seven classes a day then sophomore year is when we began having only four. Some I knew since kindergarten, middle school, freshman year or lived in my neighborhood. I also had siblings and cousins that I went to school with. Students were all around the same age and had things in common; we all hated school and couldn’t wait to graduate. I had many friends in high school. In almost every class I had at least two or three friends. So if I didn’t understand an assignment, forgot to write down the homework or had to work in group; I always had friends to help. No matter what lunch I was in I always had some friends to socialize with. Even in the hallways going to a class I would see my friends. Always being surrounded by people I know made me feel comfortable and
