Hernan Cortez childhood is a strict and a new beginning. He was known for two names; Hernan
or Franciso. There are little information about Hernan childhood, but his friend Francisco Lopez de
Gomara talk about him as a haughty, and a mischievous kind of person. He is born in a upper class
family, but they are not that wealthy too. Hernan was the second cousin to Franciso Pizarro who took
over the Incan empire in the modern day Peru. At the age of fourteen he was send to a University of
Salamanca. He study Latin and Laws. After he finish school, he went home to study horsemanship,
weaponry, and fields sports. People say that he should follow his father's footsteps and become an

became a conquistador just like his father. He became famous for conquest the Aztec Empire, other
soldier and nobleman respected him for his story of wealth and the land that he conquested. When he

Hernan Alonso was instrumental for destroying the Aztec Empire. He is the main reason why Hernan Cortes was able to succeed. He was the man that put Tenochtitlan under siege. He gained the skill of creating from being a blacksmith. He had the entrepreneurship to start his own business in this new land. He had helped from Hernan Cortes to pursue this conquest. Francisco Pizarro was a conquistador born in Trujillo, Spain in about 1471. His father, Gonzalo Pizarro, was an infantry captain and he taught Francisco how to fight at an early age. Francisco Pizarro never learned to read and write but he was full of adventure.

In 1504 Cortes sailed to Hispaniola which is now the Dominican Republic and Haiti, in the West Indies. Here he fought battles with Indians and also mixed some business in there. Velazquez, who Cortes sailed with in 1511, became the governor of Cuba. Soon after Velazquez then learned of a rich Indian empire in Mexico and he chose Cortes to lead his fleet. They were there to get gold and land. Velazquez soon became suspicious of Cortes and tried to remove him as the leader but Cortes got mad and sailed off anyway. The Aztec Empire was the largest civilization of the Americas in the early 16th century until Spanish conquistadors arrived in the New World. A motley crew of men from Spain, they were led by Hernan Cortes who intended to expand lands for the Spanish monarch and through many factors he was able to do just that. The three main factors that contributed to the fall of Tenochtitlan by the hands of Spanish conquistadors were significance of native allies, difference in battle tactics among the natives and conquistadors, and widespread disease. Another chapter in the Spanish colonization of the Americas, this one stands out in particular due to its unorthodox sequence of events that led a small group of men to defeating an entire empire in a few short years.

He had little education throughout his life. His father was a captain of infantry and had fought in many battles. Pizarro always wanted to explore and sail. Pizarro set sail to Urabi. He lost many men during his explorations. He went to Cartagena, where he met another explorer named Balboa and they became close friends. When Balboa was beheaded by his successor, Pedrarias Davila, Pizarro followed another explorer along the Pacific coast. He went on another exploration into the territory of the around present day Costa Rica.
