Hernan Cortez childhood is a strict and a new beginning. He was known for two names; Hernan

or Franciso. There are little information about Hernan childhood, but his friend Francisco Lopez de

Gomara talk about him as a haughty, and a mischievous kind of person. He is born in a upper class

family, but they are not that wealthy too. Hernan was the second cousin to Franciso Pizarro who took

over the Incan empire in the modern day Peru. At the age of fourteen he was send to a University of

Salamanca. He study Latin and Laws. After he finish school, he went home to study horsemanship,

weaponry, and fields sports. People say that he should follow his father's footsteps and become an

He was married to Catalina and had a child. His son name was Martin Cortez. Martin Cortez

became a conquistador just like his father. He became famous for conquest the Aztec Empire, other

soldier and nobleman respected him for his story of wealth and the land that he conquested. When he

didn’t made it to Spain he ask to be buried at the Hospital de Jesus in Nazareno, Mexico City. The

hospital is the oldest in North America, He give money to the missonary at a Training school at a

nunnery of Coyoacan, and When he conquer the Aztec Empire, he was able to colonize a lot of

Mexico, and a building of Mexico City on the Tenochtitlan. He took control of places with little mens

but with more power, and technology. He has military skills in his blood, because of his father was an

officer in the spanish army. He contributed his money for the missionary at a training school and a

nunnery at Coyoacan. The world is a better place because Hernan Cortez showed a new world to the

Spanish and Spain. He took over Cuba, Hispaniola and they have more lands. He gain lots of land and

was remeber as a respected Conquistador. He shows people that he wasn’t afraid of any other empire
