Medical and Health Services Manager The Medical and health services managers, also called healthcare executives or healthcare administrators, they plan, direct, and coordinate medical and health services. According to (Dressler,2012) a manager is someone who is responsible for accomplishing the organizations goals, and who does so by managing the efforts of the organization’s people. A bachelor’s degree is needed for an entry-level position along with work experience in the medical field. With a masters degree your able to advance to a higher position with more responsibilities. No two facilities are exactly alike and its up to the Medical Health Servies Manager to determine what makes theres stand out (Buchbinder,S.,& Shanks,N 2011). According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment of medical and health services managers is projected to increase 17 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the large baby-boom population ages and people remain active later in life, the healthcare industry as a whole should see an increase in the demand for medical services.
