Based on N.M’s BMI of 21.6, which categorizes the patient as having a normal weight, and no current health complications, I encourage her to maintain her current dietary practices. However when analyzing her 3 day food recall, I found that N.M is in caloric excess, deficient in most vitamins and minerals, and has high fat intake. Therefore, I recommend N.M reassess her daily consumption because this could lead to future health complications. In order to meet her daily calorie allowance and meet vitamin and mineral recommendations, N.M should monitor her food intake by creating nutrient dense, portioned meals. People with CAD who want to reduce their risk of heart disease should not smoke, get regular exercise and control meticulously their weight. Evidence links cholesterol intake to blood cholesterol levels because cholesterol is not essential in a diet and should be limited. A person with CAD should reduce their saturated fat intake by limiting fat from dairy products and meats, cholesterol intake usually goes down. The American Heart Association recommends limiting cholesterol intake to less than 300 milligrams per day. Dietary changes one can make to reduce heart disease risk include eating less fat, saturated and trans fat and cholesterol. Health education helps keep people in check with their personal health, and good personal health correlates with more happiness. If an individual is more happy with their daily life then it is very possible that they are in some way happy with their chosen job or occupation. Personal health is extremely important to everyone around the world. But it is especially important to citizens of the United States of America. Being one of the leading countries in Health technology and also in food and beverage leaves most people choosing between living a healthy lifestyle and indulging in the varieties of food we offer. Across the country, many people are living with pre-existing conditions, living in food deserts, living below the poverty line and a long list of other factors that either hinders them from eating healthy or force them to eat healthily. When people think of the term health most of the time people think of it in terms of the physical aspect. But, really the term health is made up from several different terms such as class, race, gender, education, and income which can all affect a person 's health in many different ways.
