Health Do health habits concern one when the future is being discussed? What pops into someone’s mind when one mentions the word “health”? Does one think about fitness or does having a healthy heart and healthy lungs pop into the brain instead? The definition of health is that someone is free of illnesses and injuries. My dad is a truck driver, so it is hard for him to get the daily exercise that he needs. He often tries his best to get some exercise throughout the day, but it is very hard for him since he is stuck in a semi all day. My sister is in high school and has pretty good health habits. She often tries to eat healthy throughout the day. She also tries to work out a couple times a week, when she finds the time. She has a very busy schedule and often does not get any time to rest. One factor that could have a negative impact on her health is that she does not get the proper amount of sleep every night, causing her to feel very tired the following day. Having good health is not a promise, it mainly depends on what one does in a lifetime in regards to proper nutrition and care of the body systems. Notwithstanding the predisposed health disorders that one may genetically succumb to, lifestyles and vices/bad habits can greatly influence one’s existence of well versus ill health issues. Vices, that one develops over the course of a lifetime when in regards to ones health, such as addictive behaviors to illegal substances can be highly detrimental to one’s health.

The dimensions of health make-up and create an image of our overall health. This paper will refer to the dimensions of health in relation to myself, and what health change within one dimension would be beneficial to my health as a whole. Health shapes our life, if you practice bad health practices, chances are you’re often sick, overweight, disease, or other medical issue. There are three main points of a person’s health, not just their physical health. The three parts are; social, mental/emotional, and of course physical. Setting health goals depends on age, body, and health of a person. I am 14 years old, and I am 5 feet tall, around 100 pounds. I’m generally the correct size for someone of my age. Though, it’s hard to achieve perfect health.

I was never conscious about my health till high school. It was during high school that I developed a mental model. I learned the consequences of the food that I consume daily. I often ate fast foods and soon I started to gain weight. I gain this weight very quickly and my activity level went down drastically. My weight gain affected my confidence and that’s when I began to be aware of my health in a positive way. I stopped eating fast foods, I worked out everyday and soon I was back to my normal weight. This experience has taught me what it means to take care of your body. My mental model begin with my weight struggle and it turned into me having a healthy life style.

Health education helps keep people in check with their personal health, and good personal health correlates with more happiness. Happiness is life correlates with more satisfaction with what an individual 's does on the daily. If an individual is more happy with their daily life then it is very possible that they are in some way happy with their chosen job or occupation. When companies have a happier workforce there is a higher chance of increased productivity, which in turn creates higher chances for an increased profit in the company.

Being healthy is something that I put allot of emphasis on sense I was young. Sports and training soon lead to a focus on nutritional and now mental well-being. I understand the effects of stress and negativity and have been making strong efforts to both separate myself from the negative elements. Some life changes and a wonderful life partner have made this goal and lifestyle well worth the time investment.
