In this Ever-changing world of Technology, where each new day sees a spate of new concepts and trends emerging, I want to stay on fast track and reach the heights in Information Technology space. A Masters degree at your university would not only provide me subject matter expertise but also provide the tools of my own to contribute to this ever increasing pool of Information
Technology.
After completion of my B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, I decided to pursue Masters Degree in
Biomedical Engineering in US and acquaint myself with work culture and learn some important facts and factors regarding Health Care industry. In March 2011, I received a job offer from Medin

Coming from Biomedical Engineering background, I had no experience in software development and Informatics. In addition, since this job was related to IT, the working environment was fast paced and highly competitive. I did not have the domain knowledge of IT to understand the jargon and the operational aspect of Health Care IT
Industry. I had to adapt to this new field and perform to the expectation of the management.
Failure was not an option and this made it the greatest obstacle I have faced.
Overcoming this obstacle has taught me to adapt to change. The change from Biomedical engineering to Information Technology was difficult and the absence of formal education or experience made it much more difficult. In today’s modern, ever-changing world, adaptability is the most important skill to have and this skill has become my forte. As I was new to this field, I developed a keenness to gather information and to assimilate it. I got the knack of asking the right questions to extract the information I needed. And it is during my time at Children’s Hospital Colorado I was exposed to
Leadership role. I led a project for implementing upgrade for Electronic Medical Records Software
(EMR) for the Hospital. The Project was challenging as Upgrade was all-inclusive and technically complex. After in-depth analysis, I identified three key areas – database, graphical user interface
(GUI) and End User Training, for this project. Motivating and coordinating a diverse group of professionals towards a common goal was difficult. Therefore, I started weekly track/reward Vishal Patel system to keep the energy levels up during the project. This proved to be successful as I could monitor the progress as well as see the roadblocks and concentrate of resolving the issues. The successful execution of the project gave me a sense of satisfaction since this was one of the major change implemented at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
I had no experience in the field of information technology when I joined Fulcrum Consulting and my formal education was in Chemical Engineering. The combination of these factors hampered my progress in the initial stages at work. Thus, I realized the importance of education
