Jk Rowling said “We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already (Goodreads, 2017).” Rowling has lived an incredible life. Jk Rowling is an influential person because her love for writing started at a young age, all of her trust funds, her success with the Harry Potter series, and her inspiration for the Harry Potter characters. Jk Rowling is living a very successful life. On July 31st of 1965 Joanne Rowling was born. She moved to Edinburgh Scotland as a single mother after an abusive marriage to live closer to her sister. December 26th 2001 Rowling married again to Dr. Neil Murray. They had two children and Rollings child from her previous marriage.

After writing the Harry Potter series Rowling was given several awards. She won the Lifetime Achievement Award, British Book Awards in 2008. In 2008 she won the Commencement Day speaker, Harvard university. Rowling worked in the London Office of Amnesty International. While she was there she did research in human rights abuses in countries of Africa that speak french. Rowling has created several trusts. Several of her trusts are made for women and children who have been abused or have had to deal with domestic violence. Rowling was a part of the Multiple Sclerosis Society for nine years. In 2009 she stepped back from being patron. She now uses the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology clinic to support the Multiple sclerosis Society. Maggie’s Centres for Cancer Care is a free way for people who have/ had cancer to get free emotional and social help. Rowling was a patron there for several years.
