How big of a role do guns play in the lives of most Americans? According to ProCon.org the United States has an average of 88.8 guns per 100 person. If you are looking from a gun stand point that is roughly 270,000,000 guns in total. ProCon.org goes on to also state that 22% of gun owners own one or more guns. If you ask me that is a pretty astounding number we have the most guns out of any other country in the world. If it was not for guns the United States would not have ever been created we still most likely be a British colony. Guns were also important enough to be the second amendment of the United States with the right to bear them.
It gives Americans a real chance to defend their freedom if their life was indeed in danger. Although …show more content…

Nikki and Ben Goeser are at a bar singing karaoke keep in mind that all bars and restaurants are gun free zones and Nikki realizes that a man who had gotten a little creepy a month back had been staring her down at this point she knows it is not just a creepy little crush. The Goeser’s were also unaware that Hank Wise posted on a myspace blog saying “Forever unforgiven, I know who you are, run. You’re going to see my bad side. It’s going to be extremely painful. I'll be on the hunt, predator and prey. You’re forever unforgiven.” The couple asked management to remove Hank Wise from the bar. When done so Hank drew a handgun and shot Ben Goeser in the head ending his life. Hank wise would be found not guilty due to insanity, but a later judge would charge him with second degree murder and is currently serving 23 years with no chance of parole. This story really goes to show that gun free zones put more citizens of this country in the way of harm because criminal just do not care. Nikki would then go on to publish a book How Gun Control Helped a Stalker Murder my Husband. It just goes to show how much that these gun zones really are not helping people. How many good innocent people have to die for us to realize
