According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Guam is an unincorporated territory of the United States, which is controlled under the Organic Act of Guam, and this passed by the U.S. Congress, and which was approved by the president on August 1, 1950. Guam is an island that is in Micronesia that’s of the Pacific Ocean. There is only one big island of Guam, and it is surrounded by several tiny islands. Hagåtña is the capital of Guam, and the native Guamanians are called the Chamorros. The climate there is always constant, and is around 70 through 90 Fahrenheit. Guam imports a lot of goods, such as food in the United States. This all happened after when the World War II happened, which then Guam was controlled over The U.S. for its territory and for all most all of its food. There are few cases with why the Guam has ended in the shortage of the water. The first reason is because the Guam is located near to the equator, which makes the humidity very high leading to the evaporation of the water into the air. The climate of Guam is average 80 degrees fahrenheit and the highest temperature ever recorded was 96 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning that Guam is very hot island enough to evaporate the water. The second reason is the wastes created by the humans. According to Pacific Daily News who wrote “How to Conserve Water During the Drought” it stated that the wastes include overusing the water that are not needed, not turning off the faucet, not shutting-off the nozzles of the hose, and etc. These wastes creates a danger for a lot of the creatures around and the inside of Guam. If the waste keeps continuing without an action, the people in the Guam will have huge difficulty with the dehydration
