At college, I’m considering to concentrate in economics and mathematics. I realized the key role economics play in our daily lives and I began to channel my interests to understanding economics even more. I’m interested in examining topics of obvious importance to human well-being, since I would like to be valuable to others.

However, the classes I am going to take will not be limited to only these areas. I would like to explore other subjects as well. I don’t want to lose sight of all the other things that will make me a well-rounded individual. Hence, I want to study at a renowned liberal arts university.

Above all, I can craft my own study program which will allow me to explore and follow my interests and maximize my potential. Since elementary school, I have always been an adventurous learner who likes to explore on my own. With a selection of courses from skills, humanities, sciences, social sciences and other topics, UCM offers almost endless possibilities in my quest to learn and find my passion. UCM provides opportunities to put into practice theories learned in the classroom via research and Internships. UCM approach will transform me to become a holistic thinker with a strong expertise in my specialization.

In addition to that, internationalism and student diversity at UCM will bring broad perspectives from every corner of the world into classroom discussions. As an UCM student, I will be exposed to a vast amount of different ideas, and I will be able to put things in a global perspective. During high school I would often volunteer to teach English to children aged 12-14 years old. I was also involved in study clubs and held leadership position in organizations. I am very grateful for these experiences, as it made me realize how much I can learn from interacting with other people.
At UCM, I will encounter a vibrant academic communities, I will experience a certain degree of collaborative learning and social activities. I will be challenged both in and beyond the classroom. UCM’s environment will nurture my personal growth, intellectual inquiry and reflection. UCM will educate me as a whole person.
Besides academics work, I would like to get involved in community activities, discover the beautiful city of Maastricht, and venture a little further to the bright lights of the nearby European cities.
