Nube Diece operates under a nine member council. All council members serve nine year terms and then retire to a different government position or vice verse and they are promoted to a council member. Some might consider the government of Nube Dieci (NEW-be DEE-e-che) harsh or cruel, but it is set up the way it is for the greater good of its denizens. The laws of Cloud 10 are strict but not unreasonable. If everyone follows the rules the society will be as close to perfect as possible.
Laws
Our laws consist mainly of non-violence, respect, and peacefulness. Privacy of all residents will be respected as well as peaceful resolutions of any argument. If two or more people get into an argument that cannot peacefully be resolved between the parties, the government will step in with a first offense warning for all involved parties. Our most important laws are as follows:
• No person above the age of 35 shall be permitted to have a child.
• No unmarried person shall be permitted to have a child.
If you have a baby without being married you will be removed from the city and the babies will be frozen in tubes so that deserving married couples may adopt babies most suited for them genetically when unable to have their own.
• Citizens may choose to be single.
• If any child is born mentally or physically ill or disabled they are taken to the government building and sent down a tube in the basement and down to earth: there will be tests done twice yearly until the age of 5 to make sure all developmental marks are met. After that, every year until the age of 21 to make sure no person has developed any mental or physical illnesses.
• Once a person reaches the age of 21 they must have a job.
• Violence is the worst crime to be committed a...

In this society the government controls who people mate with. They may create a list of people who they would like to mate with, and the government will decide who is genetically suitable for the person. If nobody on the list is a genetic suitor, the government will give the person three options; they can let the government choose a person for them, be single, or come back with another list for the officials to declare suitability.
The government does not allow any non-fiction because they do not want history to repeat. Developments have been made to where schools are completely electronic. The government produces all of the materials produced in the city privately in the central government building. All materials produced are lighter than air but stronger than sapphire glass. No oil or petroleum based products are used. All power is produced by wind turbines.
mates are chosen automatically by the society, and they have to apply for a child
Monogamy is a cultural norm that dominates many modern societies, and when individuals engage in monogamous relationships, they are unconsciously conforming to historical and cultural legacies of what is perceived as love that predate their illusions of personal agency. Although anthropological records indicate that 85% of human societies have tended towards polygamy (Henrich, Boyd and Richerson 2012), the modern culture of monogamy has rapidly risen and spread in the past millennium (Senthilingam 2016). This demonstrates how an individual’s conception of a heterosexual relationship as normatively monogamous has been constructed by social forces. In addition, social forces in the form of state legislation also perpetuate and reinforce an individual’s conception of what a romantic relationship should entail. Monogamous heterosexual marriage remains to be the only form of marriage with legal recognition in many countries. An individual’s belief that a romantic relationship should culminate in marriage is hence not formed through independent thought, but rather through what is considered normative by law. Essentially, “marriage is not an instinct but an institution.” (Berger 1963, 88) because it is enabled and promoted by virtue of the law. In addition, many couples believe in
The fear of government control is a leitmotif in many dystopian literature stories; therefore, strong, oppressive central governments feature prominently in this genre. Both Brave New World and 1984 provide examples of this type of government, which superficially appear to be quite different. Although the outward aspects of these governments appear to be in opposition, they both use conditioning and societal manipulation to maintain control of their citizens in worlds affected by industrialization.
People have their own perspective of a government that they envision for their people. Thomas Jefferson has been the president of the United States and ruled under a monarch. Jefferson couldn’t tolerate the abuse from a monarch, so he rebelled against the British crown. In 1776, Thomas Jefferson wrote The Declaration of Independence, and declared the colonies were free from British rule. Before he became the author of The Declaration of Independence, Jefferson was established “ as an ardent republican and revolutionary” (Jacobus 77). Jacobus states Jefferson is, “one of the most versatile Americans of any generation” (Jacobus 78). In The Declaration of Independence, Jefferson and the founding fathers envisioned a government that would govern the people, and the people would be free. The people must be governed with rights, Jefferson implies it’s the government’s duty to guide and secure the people, therefore, he believes the government’s obligation to the individual is more important than the individuals obligation to the state.
Philosophers have struggled with determining the proper role of government. In the absence of government and laws, people could do whatever they wanted, and some of them would try to slaughter others and steal their property. This is the state called anarchy. People have realized that the safety of the people and the country would be in jeopardy in such a state. Thus, it is necessary for a country to have a government and/or ruler. However, a ruler must not have absolute power nor lack authority. But the protection of the people and the country alone is not enough for a country to prosper. The property and the natural rights of the people and the government must also be protected. Thus, the proper role of government is to protect the people’s natural rights, their property, and the people themselves.
It wasn’t that long ago that two people formerly had very little say in their mate selection. That major decision was left up to their parents, specifically those of the woman. Oh, how times have changed. Today, a couple sometimes doesn’t even seek the approval of their parents and their personal preferences take precedence. However, the early stages of family formation can be affected by many things in society. The three earliest stages, consisting of dating, including the emergence of the hook-up culture, cohabitation and marriage are often affected heavily by race, social class or socioeconomic status, and gender. In this paper I will be analyzing how each of these social aspects affects each of the early stages of family formation in the order in which they typically occur starting with dating and ending with marriage.
When you think of the “land down under” you don’t really think of the kind of government they have. I chose to write about the Australian government because I really don’t hear much about Australia. It currently has a pretty interesting story to tell when it comes to their government. I became a bit interested in Australian politics when I saw a political animated cartoon on the internet that depicted Kevin Rudd, the last Prime Minister, on a news television show and it was quite humorous. I am going to give a quick history lesson on Australia then go into how the government formed and came to be. Then I will talk about the Australian constitution, the Australian arms of government, their federal system, political parties and Australia’s current Prime Minister.
In Do Institutions Matter?, the authors, R. Kent Weaver and Bert A. Rockman, provide a systematic overview on the structural differences between presidential and parliamentary systems of government and how these structures can affect their ability to make policy. According to Weaver and Rockman, a government’s effectiveness can be measured in two ways: one being voter reception of government actions through elections and the other being the final product of policymaking, known as outputs.
To begin, the community’s “surface” has a lot to it. People are assigned families. They don’t choose to get a spouse, they just have to be assigned one. To get a child, they are assigned one. This is very different from our world. In our world, people make families on their own. We obviously get to choose
The United States government system is very interesting and complexly designed. The state and federal government is a mirror of each other when it comes to the generics of the executive branch, legislative branch, and judicial branch, however, internally the state government has major differences on how the branches are conducted. Throughout this paper we will discuss the greatest difference between state and federal, which is the state cannot change or remove laws passed by the federal government but they could change how they execute the federal laws to their liking as long as it is constitutional.
Since the beginning of time, there have been children born out of wedlock. When children are born out of wedlock it is still the responsibility of both parents to contribute to the needs of a child both ethically and legally. However that is not happening much of the time in today’s world. When a child is not cared for by a parent, it “looks” bad on them to society. However since child support laws have been enacted, ethical reasons to take care of a child are now overpowered by legal reasons.
The United States government consists of three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. These branches were created to be coequal with overlapping powers that keep each other branch in check. The branches of government were designed to work well together and be being coequal would result in making decisions that are in the best interests of the people. Each branch is crucial to making sure the federal government works properly. In many ways, the legislative branch seems to have more power than the executive and judicial branches. The Framers of the Constitution wanted the legislative branch to have more power, which is sustained today in the United States government. The Framers also granted the legislative branch certain powers to give them more authority. The three main powers that enable the legislative branch to have this authority are the abilities to appropriate funds, declare war, and create laws.
Government effects my life everyday in a vast variety of ways. From the quality of the milk that I drink in the morning, to the license and Insurance I need to drive my vehicle to school and work. Government also effects the taxes that are deducted from my salary. The government uses this money to protect consumers and provide services for the public amongst many other things.
Women’s and men’s would have to have a license at the age when they have a job and can support themselves before they become parents or after having a child if they want to stay with the children. This is because not everyone has the budgets to take care of a baby. Also a lot of people just have a baby to get benefits from the government. Although parents nowadays claim that having a child is a natural part of every human’s life is clear there are those who disagree with these. According to family who are against this state that everyone should be parents even if they don’t have knowledge. In other words, these people believe that everyone should be parents without a license. I disagree with this parent’s view that everyone should become a parent whenever they want because there have been cases showing that some people mistreat their kids or abuse of them emotional, sexually and physically. Parents who disagree with this idea are right to argue that having a child is a natural part of human’s life, but they exaggerate when they claim that everyone should have a kid even if they don’t have the budgets. This is a problem because there are many kids suffering because some parents abuse the children or the parents are not mentally and economically stable to afford the best care for the kid. Also, having a child is too expensive and not everyone has the amount to give a better life to the child. Ultimately, what must be kept in mind is that not
