After watching “Gods of Egypt” directed by Alex Proyas you simply realize that it was basically a hyped up fantasy Hollywood movie rather than actually portraying the mythology and history of Egypt. Gods of Egypt is a 2016 fantasy action-adventure film.There was essentially much more differences than actually similarities. The movie was essentially pretty understandable, Horus was about to be crowned King of Egypt when his uncle, Set, showed up trying to take over Egypt by killing his own brother, Orsiris, before he could crown his son, Horus. Set ended up succeeding in killing Osiris and also defeating Horus. After Set took over the crown the whole entire Egypt was ruled under his tyrannical idea of becoming the greatest. Then Bek, the town’s thief and also a mortal showed up asking Horus to team up and save his girlfriend who was struck by an arrow. His beloved’s wish was to have Horus protect the people of Egypt and also take back his crown and rule over Egypt again. Overall, it can not be denied that Gods of Egypt was an action packed film filled with great green screens to create the fantasy world in order for the viewers to have some type of idea.

Anubis is usually portrayed in full animal form and with a jackal head and body. In the movie, he was seen summoned by Hathor, Goddess of Love, to bring Bek to his beloved in order to provide her with the necessary jewerly to let her move on to heaven. In the Last Judgment of Hunefer, the first scene was presented by Anubis taking Hunefer down to be judged. That was also the same way in the film.
