The foundation of my management plan is William Glasser's Choice Theory. Glasser believes that everyone is in charge of their own actions and that no outside force can really control over a person. This means that teachers do not have any control over how students will act because they act on their perceived reality and their feelings. Within Glasser's choice theory, there are key concepts. The first one is the basic needs, the quality of the world, and perception and reality. These concepts that contribute to how people and, therefore, students make decisions. The five needs people have been the need for survival, the need for freedom, the need to belong, the need for power, and the need for fun. One approach to address Glasser's Choice Theory is Responsive Classroom. The responsive classroom approach focuses on students social, emotional, and academic growth, which align with Glasser's five basic needs. The fist stage That will be used is having students collaborative with each other and the teacher to come up with classroom rules and consequences. Not only will the students be the one to make the classroom rules and consequences they will also be their parents will be made aware of it by having an email and-and two hard copies of the rules sent home. One of the hard copies will have a place for parent and student signature and that copy will be turned back into the teacher, and I will fill it away. Doing this signed classroom rules document will help make sure that the student is taking responsibility for their choices and it will also let the parents know that they student make the rules and agreed to follow the rules. Having the class make the rules and consequences with guidance from the teacher will ensure that the students have their quality of the world and a sense of power and safety.
