I believe that the exact meaning of immortality cannot be existed; no one has the ability to live forever. Actually, it is a divine attribute not an inherent part of humans. However, I believe in spiritual immortality even there are many groups of people do not assent to the notion that people will live forever whether in heaven or hell after their death. The beliefs of immortality differ from one to another according to his religion, traditions and culture, but all people agree on a significant point which is one can be immortal by his great achievements, influential works and good reputation, and this what Gilgamesh fully digested after his long tiring journey to quest for immortality. Deep sadness penetrates my core, I fear death, and now roam the wilderness—I will set out to the region of Utanapishtim, son of Ubartutu, and will go with utmost dispatch," (Herbert 9.2-5) this show how Gilgamesh's thinking of death shifted from the beginning of the poem while he did not see the death as a big deal to his status after losing his friend as he could not perceive the idea that death is inventible. Nevertheless, at the very end of the poem, he realized after returning to Uruk from his journey that the secret of immortality was not the type he was looking for, but it was all about his name that will live forever by his good deeds. Definitely, it is the suitable way to be immortal as when we look in the history, we find big and effective names like Leonardo da Vinci and Martin Luther king. You cannot be remembered among people, and you are not exposed to the same harsh conditions because you cannot simply feel their pain. Therefore, people will not believe in you as they need realistic leader not a fictional hero. This is what made Martin Luther King become a worldwide symbol of nonviolent resistance. He is best known for his efforts to spread racial equality in America as he was the leader of the African-American civil rights movement. He was calling for the black people's rights as he was one of them; they both suffered from the same inferiority in all their lives' aspects in comparison with the white people. Martin Luther king became immortal because he had a universal dream; he dreamt of that all people unite regardless of their color as he said " I have a dream that one day right there in Alabama little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers." He did not only help a group of people to get their rights back, but he radically changed a hideous concept of entire world in relatively short time.
