Germany is located in West-Central Europe, which includes sixteen constituent states and covers an area of 357,168 square kilometers or 137, 847 square miles (Traverlers Digest). We can compare the country of Germany to being slightly smaller than the state of Montana. Germany’s capital city, Berlin, is located in the northeast part of the country and is currently the largest city. When looking at a map, the country of Germany shares boundaries with Austria, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Czech Republic, and Luxembourg. As of 2015 Germany’s population is predicted to be around 80.3 million people, which includes 7.3 million foreigners and 2 million refugees. German is the official language, with dialects varying within the different regions and landscapes of Germany. While shopping down the German streets, hiking around the beautiful countryside, or visiting the Berlin Wall, Germany is a country filled with traditions and diversity.
Germany is one of the most beautiful countries in the world; there are many reasons that motivate millions of tourists each year to visit this country. The weather alone is a big factor, depending on if they are visiting during the winter season, between November and early March, to go skiing in the Bavarian Alps or if they are visiting during the peak season of May through September. During those warm sunny popular months, which appeals for most visitors, most of their time is spent outdoors visiting the beautiful German countryside, hiking the Bavarian Alps, cycling, visiting castles of the Rhine, and going to all of the National Parks throughout this county. ...e wars on terror in Afghanistan and in Iraq. They have continued to be one of our best Allies when it coming to fighting the Taliban and now ISIS (Daesh). The United States has participated with Germany and has had military installations in Germany for over 50 years now.
From the Berlin Wall to World War I and World War II, Germany has gone through its ups and downs. They have gone through separation of their country, to becoming one of the most united countries there is. The renovation of the country has started a whole new path for them. Their economy has increased its exporting, making them in the top ten, as far as best economy. This country has never given up on themselves and still continues to be one of the best. Their tourism has increased dramatically with their beautiful scenery and historical sites. Overall this country is a great place to visit!!!
