Atlanta is the capital and the most popular city in Georgia. Atlanta was established at the intersection of two railroad lines. The city came back from ruin following the Civil War. Three of the most popular attractions among visitors to Atlanta is the Georgia Aquarium, The World of Coca-Cola, and the Atlanta Zoo. The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the U.S. The World of Coca-Cola shows the history of the company, not only in the U.S., but also the world. The Atlanta Zoo is another famous and popular destination. The aquarium is in downtown Atlanta on land donated by the Coca-Cola Company. Its blue metal-and-glass exterior is made to look like a giant ark breaking through a wave. The world’s largest when it opened, the aquarium encompasses 550,000 square feet of covered space; its tanks hold 8,000,000 US gallons of fresh and salt water. The Georgia Aquarium contains between 100,000 and 120,000 fish and sea creatures, representing more than 500 species. The aquarium's animals are displayed in six galleries: Georgia Explorer, Tropical Diver, Ocean Voyager, Cold Water Quest, River Scout and Dolphin Tales.

The movie that shocked thousands of Americans with the secrets of SeaWorld became one of the most talked about movies of its century. Blackfish came out in July of 2013 with shocking evidence of the mistreatment of Orcas, also known as killer whales, and the dangers imposed on the whale trainers. The movie had several strategies to appeal to its audience. These strategies included the three pillars of writing; logos, ethos, and pathos. Although the overall theme of Blackfish was to inform the viewers of the treatment Seaworld imposes on Orcas, the fundamentals of the movie actively used the three pillars; ethos, logos, and pathos to effectively catch the attention of the viewers and keep them drawn into the movie; the most prominent pillar was pathos followed

Did you know that the frog species were the first animals with vocal cords? Did you know that seahorses are actually fish not little serpents or mermaids as legend tells us, and that it is the male who becomes pregnant, not the female? Did you know that an area of a rainforest the size of a football field is being destroyed each second? If not, then you should definitively consider making a visit to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Dramatic architecture and bright outdoor graphics invite you to investigate further this jewel of the city's vital Inner Harbor area. One of the world's largest and most sophisticated aquatic museums, the city's premier tourist attraction re-creates habitats from all over the world to house more than 15,000 sea creatures in over two million gallons of water. Its glass-and-steel pyramid shape is as unusual and stunning as the diverse sea creatures it houses. Most of the exhibits in the aquarium are part of a self-guided tour, so you can learn at your own pace. By using dramatic video, interactive displays and hi-tech graphics to assist you in your tour, the Aquarium not only introduces you to these special little creatures, but also inspires and intrigues you to want to learn even more. Whatever your interests, the National Aquarium provides a fun and educational visit for all!

Seahorses have one of the strangest reproduction cycles. Out of both genders of seahorses the male is the most important. Females are the gender most commonly associated with pregnancy, but there are many species in nature in which the male carries the offspring. Seahorses are one of those species. Male seahorses are very crucial to seahorse reproduction because they carry the offspring, conceive the offspring, and let them grow up.

People are encouraged to try fishing all across the United States, whether it be through friends or local events. The way I discovered fishing was through a local festival called the Best Friends Festival. It is an event for kids that takes place for a week in the summer, and one of the annual activities is fishing. I was a young child then, so I of course wanted to try everything I could in the summer. Although the Best Friends Festival does have a day for kids to fish, most kids seem to think that it would be boring. For this reason, the people that run the event do a giveaway to encourage kids to try something new. It was that first year that I tried fishing that I won a $40 fishing pole. I still have that pole to this day, and it happens to be my favorite one to fish with. The amazing part of fishing is that one doesn’t have to be ‘good’ at it. There is no true way to be good at fishing, due to the fact that different types of fish prefer different types of bait over others. It’s all just an experiment to see what one can catch, whether they strike it big or not. In the state of Virginia, there are very simple requirements to fish legally. All one must do is present an ID at the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and ask for a fishing license.

Aquariums have been around since 50 AD. The romans were the first to introduce glass panes, making it easier to view the fish. They would keep small tanks made of marble under their guest’s beds before the glass panes were introduced. Around 1369 the Chinese were using porcelain tubs to hold their goldfish, and with time the modern fish bowls were shaped. In the 19th century an inventor named Dr. Nathanial Bagshaw Ward began to put plants and toy fish into his aquariums. It began to create a movement that became a hobby for many people and even spreading to the United States. Then in 1853 the first large public aquarium opened in the London Zoo. Finally in the beginning of the 20th century the first mechanical aquarium air pump was invented and was powered by running water instead of electricity. Along with the improvement of filtration techniques the other great innovation was switch from glass to plexi-glass and later acrylic panels. With glass it was sometimes very hard to see the animals since it would distort the view with the increase of width. When acrylic technology came around windows could be a lot thicker without distortion, and could be a lot larger as well. With these design innovations aquariums can hold over 8 million gallons of water, both marine and fresh. They have millions of visitors ever year that go to see over 90,000 animals and 400 different species, from small fish like piranhas and clown fish, to large mammals like killer whales and dolphins. Most of...
Coca-Cola started out small in Atlanta, once as a Candler started the Coca-Cola company he " begun an active and innovative marketing campaign that spurred the wide distribution of Coke across the United States." Once he had this going he had to strategically plan on how to bottle his soft drink and get it ready for shipping. Once the product was bottled he had to plan on how his product would be distributed. "In 1899 the Coca-Cola company first signed a bottling contract, As a Candler did not believe bottling would be successful and sold the bottling rights to Benjamin Thomas and Joseph Whitehead." They successfully bottled the Coca-Cola product. Now that bottling and shipping the product wasn't the issue, Coca-Cola was shipped throughout the Un...
