After discharge, George W. Bush then attended graduate school, completing a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University. Two years later, he met his wife Laura and married in 1977 in Midland, Texas. Although the Bush family has a history within politics, George W. Bush worked in the oil industry and established a company called Arbusto Energy in 1977. Few years later, after rekindling his Christian beliefs, he then moved to Washington, D.C and assisted his father in his presidential campaign. What led him to become a politician was influenced by his move to Washington D.C as well as his family’s history of public service.

Briscoe first went into politics after his return from the service, in 1948 he ran for State Representative which he won his first election and from 1949 to 1957 he served as a Representative. He was the best known author of the Colson-Briscoe farm-to-market road system, along with holding key chairmanships with the agriculture and highway committees. With the passing of Dolph Sr. in 1954, Dolph Jr. elected not to run for his fifth term as a State Representative and instead return to the ranching industry. At Yale University, he [J1] studied business and was captain of the baseball team. He wanted a career in the oil industry of West Texas. He also became interested in public service and politics. This ticket helped him gain the office of vice President of the US which he has held for two consecutive terms. There were charges against him that claimed he was illegally raising money from his office in the white house but charges were later dropped after he was investigated by the justice department. George W. Bush is the 46th Governor of the state of Texas and a republican nominee for the United States. His is now in his second term as governor. He earned enough representatives to became a republican nominee during march 14, 2000.
He was the CEO of Bush Exploration Company and he unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 1977. “In 1989 he and a group of investors bought the Texas Rangers baseball franchise and he became managing partner; In 1998 Bush and his partners sold the Texas Rangers for 15 million dollars before running for President of the United States.”(Rountree xxi) In 2000 United States of America elected George W.
