Turkey is located approximately 1,600 kilometers from east to west and 550 kilometers from north to south. Turkey is located in southeast Europe and southwest Asia. Its neighbors are Greece and Bulgaria to the west, Russia, Ukraine, and Romania to the north and northwest side through the Black Sea.
Geography:
Turkey is located on two continents, Europe and Asia. The Asian side is called Anatolia and the European side is called Eastern Thrace. Total area is approximately 814,578 square kilometers, 97 percent of the area is located on the Asia side and the rest three percent are located on the Europe side. Turkey is surrounded by four Seas: Black Sea in the north, Marmara Sea in the northwest, Aegean Sea in the west and Mediterranean Sea in the south.
Climate:
Summers are hot and dry, the temperature rises up to 30 C, in midsummer. Winters are mild in the Mediterranean, Aegean and the Marmara region, most of the rain falls during November through February. Most of the fruit, vegetables, cotton, grain and tobacco are grown on the coast. On the Black Sea the climate is cooler and rainier. People grow maize, rice, barley, potatoes, sugar roots, onions and hemps. Summers are longer and hot and winters are short and rainy.

Turks usually prefer a simple breakfast. A traditional Turkish breakfast contains cheese, butter, olives, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, jam and honey. The emergence of the Young Turk movement, the decline of the Ottoman Empire, and its defeat in World War I, saw many changes in Asia Minor. The Kurds are located mainly in the Middle East. They live in the mountainous regions of Iraq, Iran and Turkey. Turkey has the most Kurdish people out of any country in the world. There are about 8 million Kurds in Turkey. When the Ottoman Empire was broken up, the Kurds were promised independence and that’s why most of the Kurdish people moved and stayed in Turkey.
In short, the majority of Turkey’s allies did nothing about the ordeal in the end. Basically brushing the entire event off. Eventually, the already small and fragile Armenian republic was given no support from the allies as a whole, and collapsed upon itself. As for the Turkish, in the successful obliteration of the vast majority of the Armenian people, they destroyed many priceless masterpieces, libraries and churches that had belonged to the Armenians.
