Genetically Modified Organism Analysis

The common people of America could be partaking in a human experiment (“Genetically modified food: Panacea or poison?”). The number of people with health issues in the United States increases dramatically since the introduction if GMOs into American produce (“10 Reasons”). GMO stands for genetically modified organism, which are plants and animals that are genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses, and other plants and animals. They are linked to various health problems and are in 80% of conventional processed foods (Renter). Average American people are kept in the dark concerning the facts about GM foods. Scientists who discover less than favorable information about genetically modified foods are either fired or their funds are cut. There have been numerous attempts to expose GM foods, but they have been censored for the sake of Americans maintaining their ignorance of the forged food they are consuming. The facts the government bases their opinion on are presented to them by the same companies who work for, and own, the companies making a large profit from the creation and distribution of GM foods. They were first introduced to boost nutrition, taste, and lifespan of fruits and vegetables but as time has revealed, the consequences of tampering with the purity of produce has been a shock to all (“GMO Facts”). GM foods should not be sold in the Unites States because they are linked to health problems, the food processing companies do not want their GM products labeled, and unnatural.

First, genetically modified foods are not safe for human consumption. There has never been a human study relating to GMOs but they are fully legal in the United States (“Genetically Modified Food”). A dramatic increase of health ...

...is still to be discovered about them, but at the moment what we are realizing is the unfavorable facts outweigh the positive ones.
