Recommended: Personal experience overcome failure

Today was the best day of the Genesee County Fair . Today I was going into the dairy barn to get Oscar my dairy feeder steer ready to go into the show ring. All I could think about was that I would never be able to be as good as Frankie Barber is every year. Then I changed my thinking and said to myself in my head, “Today I am going to be the best I can be, and try my hardest to get where I want to be good and get as good at things that I have never been as good as the other showman”.I’m so nervous I keep thinking over and over again in my head. I have worked so hard to get where I am today with my showing ability. I’m now waiting for my age group to get called to the show ring. I feel bitter and mistrust for saying negative thoughts. …show more content…

From the classes or juniors, intermediate and seniors. The first and second place winners. We walked around the show ring for about 5 minutes . Then she had us switch cows so she could see what we can do with a cow that we have never handled before. When we switched cows Oscar my dairy feeder saw that I was gone and he was being good for the girl that didn’t know what she was doing, it was her first show she has ever done with cows at all. At this very moment I feel shocked. This judge was taking her time choosing between all of us 6 kids. She was lining us all up, Frankie and I were only a few spots away from each other. The judge was picking the winners now. She ended up picking Frankie Barber for Grand champion dairy feeder over all . Then she walked passed me and then came back to me ,than shook my hand. That meant that I have won Reserve Champion Dairy Feeder over all. I am very convinced that I will win Reserve Champion or Champion over all Dairy Feeder. My day was the best that it could be. It could be better in my opinion, but what I got was ok to me. My day turned out to be the best day of the Genesee County Fair week 2016. What I learned that day was. You have to work hard for what you want. Working hard then earning what you have done in the end. The fun part was working for what I want and have been waiting for a long time.
