Generalized Anxiety Disorder

The condition of Donald can be described as a long term, constant and at times disabling conditions; that can be described as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is the anxiety disorder that has affected about 3.1 % of American adults that are age from 18 to older (2013, National Institute of Mental Health).

Symptoms of GAD

The symptoms that one face during GAD include: worry all the time, irritation, feeling of insecurity, depression, dizziness, tension, restless, sleeping disorder, headaches, mental disorder, nausea, and muscle aches. It happens continually for more than 6 months. The symptoms of worry vary during General Anxiety Disorder, worry about family, finance, and always thinking about negative outcomes of any action. Although worrying about family is normal, but in GAD case, the patient think whole day about the way of living of his family, their future, their finance and calculate negative outcomes.

Main Issues

Donald handles and deals problems with worries. Like there are number of factors presented to him after he got married with his wife. Since the time of marriage, there are many factors are involved to accumulate his worries like: tight financial conditions, security of his job & future and his performance during work, problems with his house & car, children, as well as his parents' health. His total worries lasts for long period of time i.e. over 6 months. He had constant worrying about all kinds of matters he faced during his life. He has irritable feelings all the time along with tired feelings most of his time at home and at job.
