Dwight David Eisenhower also know as “Ike” served as the 34th President of the United States. Ike was elected on January 20, 1953 and left January 20th, 1961. He was born on October fourteenth in Denison Texas, then passed away March twenty- eighth 1969 in Washington D.C. After he was born in Texas, his family and him moved to Abilene Kansas, the Eisenhower family was poor but Ike worked throughout his childhood to work to earn money. He was the third of the seven children, they all were raised by David Jacob Eisenhower who was a mechanic and manager, and Ida Elizabeth Stover, who was a religious pacifist. He did his chores like he was asked to around the house, he had a passion for hunting and fishing, while he was enjoying baseball and football. Ike graduated from Abilene High School in 1909. Eisenhower later went on and married Marie “Mamie” Geneva Doud in 1916. The family traveled both for pleasure and to revisit the sites of past of great succeed. He had a great passion of what he loved doing until he died. He was being president, getting wars ready to fight and being a full time dad, president and husband. After two years of working odd jobs after he got out of highschool, he was appointed to the Naval Academy, but was too old to attend. In 1910, he went to an appointment to West Point. Eisenhower was not a good student but not a bad student, he was an average student at the academy, when he went to the military community he surprised them with exceptionals ability. he got hurt a lot during sports, so he was going to have to quit the military due to injuries. Ike ranked 61st out of 164 in his class in the class of 1915. During World War I , he was a training instructor and commander of a training center. He wasn’t very educated going through middle school and high school but he obviously got to where he was all smarts, and could debate everything, and kept calm to where he didn’t get frustrated with people when the tough times came. Ike kept us out of most wars possible, he protected us., he ended most things in war. After he left the president spot he was still active of doing what he loved to do with his family. He went fishing, hunting, and yet worked on the farm with mamie. If it wasn’t for his health issue he would have kept running, but he had to go because of his heart, but he never gave up, he kept fighting for what he loved, at the right time he said it was his time. Fighing in the wars is what got him to the president spot. When he was a teenager everyone turned him down, but he finally got to where he needed to be.
Military leaders may find themselves in questionable situations: perceived as unethical; lack moral consciousness, or question their character. Dwight Eisenhower demonstrated moral courage by leveraging the ethical principles of duty, loyalty and subordination in endorsing the French Vichy leader Admiral Darlan.
She was born into a poor southern family, and went to school for two years. After marrying Woodrow Wilson, who was already president at the time, she immediately began influencing presidential affairs. Once " In Office" she volunteered for the Red Cross and supported the wartime effort. Socially she held a high status, christening newly built ships, and hosting foreign guests. When her husband was unable to perform his presidential duties due to illness, Edith stepped up to the plate.

Although they might not appreciate it now, his confident future generations will follow his lead to make this country the best it can be. For that generation he could offer this, once you set your goals, never give up. He had numerous jobs as minister and ambassadors to many different countries before he finally won the election to become the President. The path he traveled was not easy, but I think he believed his hard work paid off. I think if he still alive today he would probably take revenge on all those crooked politicians he had been hearing about who take bribes and shred confidential documents. They deteriorate the fabric this country was built on, and it will be a long time before it is fully repaired.
He made astute political decisions and appointed opposition officials in his ranks. The dominance of conservatism was due to him, and his political strengths as a leader.
	While in Vietnam, he was assigned to counterinsurgency operations in which he met General Singlaub and General Secord, then lieutenant colonels. After coming back from Vietnam, he served as a planner in the Marine Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C. After being promoted to Major in the Marine Corps, North led a detachment of Marines who were to assist the rescuers of the aborted mission to free U.S. hostages in Tehran. A little more than a year later, while North was studying at the Naval War College in Providence, he came to befriend Navy Secretary John Lehman. Lehman helped North get a spot on the National Security Council. Among several military officers sent to the National Security Council, North was the youngest. He was described as a "bright articulate officer with a gung ho spirit who saw the world in sharply etched blacks and whites." His role was to draw up plans, to get them approved, and to see that they are carried out.
It was a life of family and good, Midwestern upbringing. Wholesome morals like self-respect and pacifism were fed to him along with other staples of the Midwest. America was an idealistic, pacifistic nation at the time. I was taught in the sixth grade to be proud that we had a standing army of just over a hundred thousand men and that generals had nothing to say about what was done in Washington. I was taught to be proud of that and to pity
Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas. Growing up, he was the third of seven boys in a strict, religious family. In 1892, his family moved to Kansas where he spent the rest of his adolescent years. After being accepted into West Point in 1911, Eisenhower turned to sports to pass his time there. He joined the varsity football team, playing running back and linebacker (Banks 4). He graduated from West Point in the middle of his class, and with a less-than-average disciplinary rating. Six years after his graduation, he met his future wife Mamie Doud while stationed in Texas and married her in 1920.
On December 5th, 1782, the eighth president was born in Kinderhook, New York. His birth parents were Maria Van Buren and Abraham Van Buren. Even though he ran a tavern, which held many political meetings and first exposed Martin Van Buren to politics his father was a farmer. Van Buren would be present at many local schools, and the Kinderhook Academy until he was the age of 14. Van Buren’s father had secured Martin an apprenticeship with a lawyer because he was unable to send Martin to college because he could not afford it. In later years Van Buren had studied law and in 1803 he was admitted to the bar. Van Buren had married his long distant cousin Hannah Hoes, they later had 4 children together.
Edward Kennedy was his real name; he was born on April 29, 1899 in Washington, D.C. Duke’s parents Daisy Kennedy Ellington and James Edward Ellington served as ideal role models for Duke and taught him everything from table manners to an understanding of the emotional power of music.
John F. Kennedy had many eventful things happen while he grew older. Kennedy got his education by going to, The Choate School and Harvard College. After his graduation from, Harvard he joined the U.S. Navy and entered World War II. After his patrol boat sunk, he swam himself to safety, then going back to the sinking boat and sacrificed his life to save injured in the boat. However Kennedys brother, who had also been part of World War II died while, fighting in Europe, which made john “next in line” for political leadership within the powerful Kennedy Clan.
John Quincy Adams, America’s sixth President was born July 11, 1767 in Braintree, Massachusetts to the former president John Adams and his wife Abigail Adams. He was a child that grew up during the American Revolution. He was able to experience and watch the Battle of Bunker Hill with his mother from his house. John Quincy Adams did not attend school when he was young. He was tutored by his cousin and his father’s law clerk. He did not acquire a real education until he traveled with his father. When his father became the ambassador to France and also Netherlands, John Quincy accompanied him on the missions he took. While in Europe with his father he was able to attend Leiden University where he graduated in 1781.
... was one of the most influential, brilliant presidents the nation has ever seen. He accomplished many things and he literally worked around what would have been the impossible. He strived for perfection and a better America and he provided his country with an effective leadership. He defined the Presidency as something that should be fulfilled to the highest extent. He made the Presidency achieve the unthinkable and he held a smile while doing it.
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He was the second child of Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. It is commonly believed that he was born in Illinois, but in fact he was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. As Lincoln grew up, he moved to Illinois, where he spent most of his childhood as well as some of his adulthood. Lincoln lost his mother at age nine, due to milk sickness. This tragic loss led to Lincoln’s sister, Sarah, to care for him.

In addition to being a man who made revolutionary changes to our nation, he was also a devoted husband and father to his four sons. Despite his intimidating 6'4" figure, he was a kind, warm-hearted man, who actually cared about the common people. His family and friends had a substantial influence on him and they played an extremely important role in his life. They supported him in whatever he set his mind to and they kept him sane when he felt like he was about ready to breakdown during difficult times. There is more to Lincoln than most people could ever imagine, and his personal life could never be complete without his family. Lincoln had a very intimate relationship with his wife Mary Todd, and he showed endless love and affection to his children. Abraham Lincoln was a true family man.
