Family Guy is a television show which is about the Griffin family and their day to day lives. The main characters are Peter Griffin, Lois Griffin, Meg Griffin, Chris Griffin, Stewie Griffin and their dog Brian Griffin. The episode starts out with the Griffin family watching a beer commercial with two woman taking dirty to each other that is insinuating that Pawtucket beer will get you hot girls. That message in itself reflects women in a negative way because the commercial in the show reflects them as objects. Throughout these five medium I have found a multitude of problems that are a part of this culture we live in. First of is media within itself has a controlling images over women and we don’t even know because everywhere we look were being bombarded with new information about what we should think everyday. Things like beauty, sexualization and overly emotional women all habe played a role in these mediums that I have explained earlier. Gender Roles are what’s expected of us and how we behave in gendered fashion. Gender roles are a common thing seen in all types of media and the example of Penny from the Big Bang Theory and how she is regarded as a stereotypical
