Gender and class played significant factors in dictating sexual roles in the course of human history as depicted in the film. During the times of ancient Greece, sex between a man and another man is of a “norm” than heterosexual sex. Furthermore, women are forbidden to go out and have sex during this period. It is even considered a rite of passage of for boys turning into man to have sex with older man called in the present times as pederasty. Based on these recorded histories of sex, gender is a determinant of how one will express his/her sexuality. For women during these period, their sexual urges are more repressed that they are the first to invent dildos to “pacify” their urges. During the Middle ages, females are required to have an orgasm in order to bear a child. Moreover, men are strictly required to let the women feel the ecstasy and orgasm or else, the church will investigate the male’s genitals, and if proven incapable, the church can separate the couple even if they are married. The feeling of ecstasy and orgasm is highly linked with the sexual performance of both parties. The feeling of satisfaction is taken into consideration ever since the history of sex was recorded. For example, “entertainers” were present during the Ancient Greece. This means that humans see the need for sexual satisfaction, which includes the feeling of ecstasy and orgasm from the beginning of the history of sex. For eastern cultures, the semen of men is said to be important in prolonging their lives and because of this, some of them tend not to reach orgasm or even masturbate to keep its essence.
