Gearing For Student Success Through College Entrance Exams

Students entering college for the first time have no idea what to really expect or what will be expected of them when they apply for admission. Standardized college entrance exams would not only help them to better understand and become prepared, but the same exams would aid the college on needed placement so these students are readied for what is to come. The two strongest areas of concern are communications (oral/written) and math. Examinations should be levied before a student commences their studies in their chosen Degrees. This should be a standard requirement for all Regionally Accredited colleges and universities. Take for example, Community College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They require proof of high school graduation and/or GED. If transferring in, transcripts from all colleges attended must be presented within 30 days. Successful completion of an entrance/placement exam for all students.
