People are always saying how being gay is not okay, and that God says in the bible that it should be man and woman not man and man. But It also says in the bible that no one should judge one another, whether it be on looks, height, race, and or gender. So I feel like all these people that are judging all the people who are making the decision to be gay is wrong. If they truly went off of what the bible said, They’d know that all sins are equal. So them judging them about being gay is a sin, well they’re sinning just like the gays are. I think that no matter what god loves you. The way I feel about it is, is that if they’re happy, let them be happy. They deserve to be happy just like everyone else. They’re human aren’t they? Just because what they’re doing is a sin, doesn’t mean we have to hate or dislike what they’re doing. It’s what they choose to do and it should not have anything to do with you. So yes, I feel like they should have just as much rights as we do. If they want to be married, let them. What harm will it do to the Earth? The world has always shunned the gays and the kids in todays’ time see that, so they feed off of what their parents say and they’ll be that way for the rest of their life. I have a gay cousin, doesn’t mean I’m going to love him any less. He’s a normal person just like everyone else and he deserves to get treated that way. As of July 17, 2013, gay marriage has been legalized in 14 US states (California, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington) and the District of Columbia. Proponents argue that same-sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public ack... ... middle of paper ... ...fe, everyone deserves to be happy and if you can make someone’s day better or make them happy that day then you’re doing it right. One of the hardest things to do as a Christian is to say no to things you shouldn’t do, but even if you don’t say no and you ask for forgiveness and try to better yourself the next time around that he’ll forgive you. So maybe gays aren’t able to say no, but I guarantee that the others that do believe in God are finding other ways to give back to him and do everything in his name so that God will forgive them. There’s a lot of different views to this and my view that I’m trying to express is that let them do what they want, It isn’t affecting your life is anyway. What they choose to do is what they want, It doesn’t matter if it says it’s wrong in the bible because you’re doing some bad things yourself according to the bible. God forgives.
God’s love for homosexuals is no less than His love for the liar, the thief and the pedophile. He sent Jesus into the world and then revealed his life and teaching and the purpose of his death and resurrection through the gospel in order that you and I might be saved from our sin. The conditions for ALL sinners is the same: You must believe in the Lord Jesus, repent of your sins and be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of your sins (Acts 2:36-38). After which, you are raised to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:1-14). If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Fag. Poof. Fairy. Homo. Dyke. Those are all words that are used on a daily basis to put down those who do not fit into the Bible’s supposed cookie-cutter, straight sexual orientation label. Homophobia has been around since the eleven hundreds, but before then homosexuality was viewed as healthy, normal, and at times it was even worshipped. However, society’s view of homosexuality has somehow been warped into a violently negative opinion. How did this happen? The main perpetrators of homophobia are the Bible and those who preach its word, or at least their version of its word. Which brings up the translation issues scattered throughout the Bible. The New Testament was written in Greek and there are not always direct translations of each word in English. The messages in the Bible that are said to condemn homosexuality can be interpreted in a more accepting way than they are usually preached.
According to biblical texts, in the beginning, God created the first man, Adam and made him a woman, Eve. He gave Adam a woman, not a man, so that the human race can maintain a man/woman relationship. For thousands of years homosexuality has been misconduct or in the church’s case, sin. We are continuously beset with this controversial topic and have since reached a point where homosexuality is more open and more accepted than ever. Now, gay men and women fight for the right to be legally married in the United States. In Christianity, marriage is a lifelong commitment under God and many Christians believe this is a “major sin.” However, no matter the relation of man and woman or man and man, Homosexuals should be allowed to have a lifelong

The topic of homosexuality has been a very hot topic over the past several decades. The term homosexuality can be defined as the “sexual desire or behavior towards a person or persons of one’s own sex” (“Homosexuality”). There are many people who either agree or disagree with the aspect of homosexuality, and there are others who are indifferent. Many Christian churches around the world, especially in the United States, have stated their opinion against homosexuality. They based their beliefs in the verses in 1st Corinthians 6: 9-10, which says, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor man who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God” (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version).
One of the biggest issues going to debate throughout not only the U.S. but the world is the gay rights movement. The Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community is being denied their basic rights as citizens just because of their sexual preference and the opinion of people throughout the country. Many Christians believe that homosexuality is wrong and that God is against it but others believe that God creates everything for a reason and that He loves everything equally. Even though many people believe that homosexuality is a sin and that it’s unnatural and wrong, homosexuals are ordinary people and they should be given their full rights regardless of their sexual orientation.
"Homosexual [persons], like everyone else, should not suffer from prejudice against their basic human rights. They have a right to respect, friendship, and justice. They should have an active role in the Christian community.(To Live)
This rule of the church not only applies to homosexuality, but to all sin. So those who smugly think homosexuality is a horrible sin worse than that of greed or spreading false rumors or being drunk, better think again. God has not changed nor has his response to all sin. No more, no less, he despises it, but desperately wants to help those who want his help: those who admit their sin and want to stop.
Homosexuality defies the laws of nature, social norms, and has many adverse side effects. Today we live in a society that promotes homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle. Many homosexuals that live this lifestyle like to justify their behavior by twisting God’s truth. They make claims like “God is a God of love”, “the bible does not condemn homosexuality”, and “I am not hurting anybody, so it is ok.” God has clearly revealed to us in his Word that homosexuality is an abomination. Leviticus 20: 13 says, “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.” (ESV). Sin is serious and God’s Word tells us that there are grave consequences for such sin. Homosexuality is not only a sin that is committed against oneself, but is also contrary to God’s divine design of marriage and family. God created holy matrimony to be between one man and one woman and not between the same sex. Right from the beginning God says in Genesis 2:24, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (ESV). God designed marriage for procreation and tells us to “be fruitful and multiply.” A homosexual couple, on the other hand, is unable to reproduce and have a family. That is only one of the many negative side
A lot of people judge each other by a different number of things. But the most discrimination next to racism is homosexuality. The reason a lot of people think it is wrong because they think it is sick and it is not normal for other people to see homosexuals kissing or engaging in sexual intercourse.
With the evolution of society and who we accept becoming more publicized the voices of those people who are being rejected are now being heard. There are many passages in the Christian bible that emphasize the acceptance of all people, especially those who are rejected in their own society. Romans 15:7 states: “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the Glory of God” based on this small passage Christians should accept homosexuals in the same way Christ has welcomed you. Even the passage used against accepting homosexuals due to natural law can be interpreted differently to accept homosexuals. Genesis 1-2; The Creation Story explains that all of mankind was created in the image of God and in God’s likeness. If a Christian believes that we are all children of God and we are all made like God, then God is already accepting every individual human being as they are. (Newheiser, David. "Sexuality and Christian Tradition.") The natural law can also be debated in this case. The natural law opposing homosexuality says that a man and a woman were created to be intimate with each other in the hopes to procreate only. Since, a man and man cannot procreate it is an abomination to act in such ways. However, there are several other animals that act in homosexual tendencies, such as apes, dolphins, penguins and lions therefore, it can be argued that it is natural to have these homosexual
...hat they choose to be homosexual. They choose to love who they love and be attracted to whom they are attracted to. Being that I am a Christian, I believe that homosexuality is a sin; however, I am neither for nor against homosexuality.
I do not feel that whether or not the Scriptures support homosexual matters to gay individuals who do not believe in or follow the Bible. However, there are numerous Christian persons who identify with the LGBTQ lifestyle. So, what God says about homosexuality can cause much confusion and hurt to these individuals. And these individuals feel the moral heaviness of their sexual orientation. I believe that it is even worse for these believers who also take the literal reading approach. My hope is that more believers will be made aware of the historical-critical approach because this approach can determine the meaning of a text objectively, following clear guidelines” (Helminiak, n.d.).
The topic of homosexuality in religion has many sides. There are those who believe that it is a sin in God’s eyes and according to the Bible, and there are those who believe the God and the Bible are not specific to homosexuals. It is a tough debate based on whether you are a religious person, how you were raised, and where your morals and ethics stand. You cannot truly believe one way without taking into account the other side and have valid proof to back it up.
Homosexuality (the tendency to be more sexually attracted to the same sex) is often confused with homosexual behavior (acting on homosexuality by engaging in homosexual acts), but the two are distinctly different. Even though homosexual behavior, especially in more recent years, has become an acceptable standard in our society it is a voluntary act and a sin, but the church has the ongoing responsibility and God-given call to love our neighbors, regardless of their sin because we too are all sinners. In light of this, we as Christian should treat homosexual behavior as we would any other sin by condemning the sin yet loving, nurturing, and keeping accountable the sinner.
