This was an incredible breakthrough since same sex marriages had increased over the years. Individuals have the right to marry and get married to their preferred partners. However, there is still an opposition on gay marriages from many groups around the globe today. The groups feel that same sex marriages should be illegal and that; they are against the law and violate the marriage institution. In addition, they argue that, gay marriages are against the biblic... ... middle of paper ... ...d marriage is a legal union between two people who love each other and have a mutual consent to get married.

However, straight marriage is not the right thing to do. Just because a person is happy, does not mean it is morally correct. The article “Gay Marriage” states that Americans still oppose to gay marriage because it violates their religious beliefs (2). Yes, everyone in the world needs to feel happy and accepted, but sometimes it is unnecessary acts that get people where they are in the world.
There are people who would argue that there is nothing wrong with gay marriages. They would further argue and believe is that gays should have the same rights as a heterosexual marriage. There are some stereotypes and issues that gay couple faces some are: What makes them different from any other marriage, why (in some states that gay marriage is supported) their spouses do not have the same rights as those with a heterosexual marriage, and why society frown upon this issue. Over the years people have come to accept that there is not anything wrong with gay marriages. But there are some people who fight the idea that it should be legal.
Many people say that same sex marriage should be banned, because The Bible states Marriage should be between a man and a woman, which will start an argument towards same sex marriage, but some people may not believe in The Bible, because of freedom of religion. In this case some believe in other things than the average person.Afterwards, same sex marriage benefit society, because it shows that everone should be happy, which can really be beneficial. Lastly, same sex marriage has a huge impact on society right now to protest against same sex marriage. On The Other Hand same sex marriage should be legalized because it is uncivilized and unmerited. Our civil rights and The Constitution give us many liberties.
Religion also leads the way as a strong argument towards gay marriage with many people believing that it’s against their religion. Opponents to gay marriage with strong religious beliefs believe that gay marriage is “sinful” with marriage also being a religious intuition for only man and woman. Despite this, to legally marry someone there is no requirement for a religious ceremony to be held; this proves that marriage i... ... middle of paper ... ...myself who has friends and family who are gay or lesbian I find it immensely aggravating that they are seen by some people around the world as wrong to experience the opportunities the rest of us are giving in life such as being married and eventually having children. Religion is a major factor towards opponents being against gay marriage however so many other life choices people make in life happens against peoples religious views so why is gay marriage seemed so unacceptable. There are also many other arguments people make towards gay marriage despite this there is very little evidence to prove what these opponents are saying making most of it very unjust able and at points homophobic.
Gay Marriage For many years the topic of homosexual marriage, also known as gay marriage, has been a main concern throughout the world. Many people believe that marriage should be met between a man and a woman, while others simply believe that marriage should be between those who love whoever they want to love and be with. Throughout the years the role of gay marriage has been changing constantly, and will continue to change as years go on. About fifty years ago gay marriage was completely illegal and seemed to be unnatural and wrong. Since then, views have changed and people began to realize love is love and marriage between homosexuals should be legal to maintain equality within the states.
The topic of same-sex marriage, or gay marriage, is extremely divisive in today's society. This paper will address some of the issues surrounding gay marriage. Many in favor of same-sex marriage suggest that gay couples should have the same marital benefits as heterosexual couples, which is simply a civil rights issue. In contrast, those against same-sex marriage see this concept as a moral matter, which violates traditional ethical standards. Since the beginning of time, most cultures have acknowledged marriage a unity between men and women.
Even with same sex couples being more commonly accepted, there are still conservative and religious leaders that remain opposed. It is this opposition that has prevented gay marriage from becoming legal in most of the country. Gays and lesbians are Americans just like everyone else, and deserve the same rights. Discrimination to a minority is supposed to be against the law, but still somehow manages to exist for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community. Preventing same sex couples from marrying is not only denying them their civil rights, it is also discriminating against their innocent family members.
Most of the organizations have come up with different arguments; some of the organizations hold opinion that denying such unions is discriminating against peoples’ choice for sexual orientation. In another perspective, those who support same sex marriage assert that financial, psychological and physical well-being is enhanced by marriage regardless of the orientation. Most gay groups are of the opinion that discriminating people from same sex marriage is similar to violation of human rights as stipulated in the law. Those that are of a different opinion site arguments that the word marriage should not be applied in the confines of same sex since the act is not socially accepted (Morse, 2004). Othere concerns are raised towards parenting, religion and tradition.
