Freshman social life My freshman experience was by far the longest and most difficult time in the four years I spent at American Heritage High School. I did not know one person in my entire high school when I got there so it was a difficult task to make friends. The first few weeks in high school I was so miserable. The hardest time of freshman year was probably overhearing other students I went to school with talking about an amazing party they went too on the first weekend of high school. This was extremely tough for me considering that I was not invited to this party and that weekend, I had just stayed home and watched a movie. In the third month of my freshman year I felt very happy about my current social situation because I had made so many new friends. That was also the time when I got invited to my very first party of high school. I went to this party with friends and had such a good time. There was a DJ and his music was amazing. I enjoyed dancing with friends, and it was also a good atmosphere to meet new people. Model UN is a club that is a simulation of the United Nations. During my freshman year I traveled to New York City to compete in a competition for Model UN. I represented Iran in the delegation, which was extremely difficult because my viewpoints are so different from there. The point of Model UN is to represent the country given to you, as the actually country would act. Being Iran, it was actually a good thing to be disrespectful and make things difficult for the other countries. I was pretty rude in the committee sessions and actually fell asleep in the conference. I actually one first place because how realistic my representation of Iran was so realistic.
