They have made the way for all of the other company’s pretty much that we have today. Henry Ford created the mass production assembly line and refined it. He is the backbone of America. He spent his life pretty much to make a vehicle that the average person can afford and drive. And he accomplished his goal, he made a big advance in the technology of vehicles and his brand still lives on.

Henry Ford George Mancini Social Studies Henry Ford Henry Ford was one of the most famous people in the world. He revolutionized assembly line modes for the automobile, which revolutionized the auto industry for America. He invented the Ford model T car, in 1908, which was his first car he invented. Because of this reason, Ford sold and continues to sell millions of automobiles and became head of a world renowned and innovative auto company. His company didn't really dominate the foreign market, but it made a huge impact in technology and the development of the U.S infrastructure.
Though Ford has grown by leaps and bounds, it primarily still remains a family owned company with 40 percent of the voting rights still resting with the Ford family. Ford revolutionized the industry by making the gasoline powered automobile affordable for the middle class in 1913. The economies of scale approach were taken up by the company. The first moving assembly line was introduced in 1913 at its factory at Highland Park. The major breakthrough being the “Ford-T Model”, which sold in millions.
People did not have that much time to waste (Automobile Industry). The nineteen twenties were a time of cheer and celebration (Roaring 1920’s). We had just come out of a war so we needed something enjoyable (Roaring 1920’s). When Henry came out with the Model T everyone wanted one because it made traveling so much easier and faster. The Ford Motor Company sold a total of fifteen-million Model T’s by 1927(History, “Model T”). With the cost of the Model T almost three times less expensive, it allowed the average middle-class citizen to purchase a luxury such as an automobile. This drastically increased the number of cars on the small number of roads that the United States had to offer. This led to the mass development of roads and allowed people to travel from city to city relatively quickly to buy goods and services. Roads were a huge factor in american growth.
Ford, along with other investors including John and Horace Dodge raised $28,000 and in the first 15 months produced 1700 Model A cars. These cars were known for their reliability, yet were still too expensive for the average American. Over the next five years Ford and his engineers produced models with the letters B through S, the most successful of which was the Model N (priced at $500) , and the least successful was the Model K (priced at $2500). It was obvious from the Model N that the key to the companies success lay in inexpensive cars for a mass market. The answer that Ford and the American consumer were looking for was the Model T. The Model T, a small, sturdy four-cylinder car with an attractive design and a top speed of 45 mph, hit the market in 1908.
