In the United States, food truck businesses are popping up in vast locations in cities and communities all over the country. Additionally, the different types of meals that are offered on food trucks have become an attractive commodity at national fairs that travels all over the country as well as schools. However, making a decision to become an entrepreneur is challenging and exciting; although, with hard work and determination your dream can become a reality. Furthermore, the decision to start a food truck business takes preparation, motivation, and working long hours seven days a week to build the business. However, owning a mobile restaurant on wheels also lowers your investment cost, as well as the daily cost of operating a business from day to day, versus owning a café. Furthermore, another advantage of a food truck is the fact that they are located in a secure parking lot. Not to mention that the location is provided with everything that is needed to run the business such as electrical hookups, a place to dispose of the grease, and industrial-sized sinks to wash the dishes. Also, having someone in place to assist with marketing, social media advertising, and food safety practice is an advantage of having a food truck business. Besides, keeping in mind that an ideal location for the food truck to be stationary on a daily basis is necessary for reaching a broad range of customers, is also an advantage of owning a mobile restaurant on wheels. However, before deciding to go into partnership together, Dan worked and trained as a butcher; while, Steve worked in financing (ABC News, 2013). Furthermore, some characteristics that are displayed by both owners is the fact that they knew exactly what they wanted to do as it relates to owning their own food truck business. Dan and Steve are both excited about being their individual boss, and finding a FedEx truck and turning it into a profitable business (ABC News, 2013). Additionally, despite all the odds that are against them, they both are determined not to give up; nonetheless, both men believe in preparations and with the help of a nonprofit organization by the name of ECDI their tenacity and drive is now a reality (ABC News, 2013). Dan and Steve were prepared by having someone to assist them with the marketing aspect of the business, and the social media that both contribute to the success of being food truck owners. Finally, the fact that they are the sole owners of their business, and both Steve and Dan are willing to put in the long hours each day to ensure that their business is a success is another characteristic of having a very successful business.
