Concept of Flipped Classroom
The flipped classroom is the educational approach in which the homework elements and the typical lecture related to a course are reversed (Kim, et al., 2014). In this process, the short video lectures are made and given to student for home before the classroom sessions. This video is regarded as the main ingredient in the flipped approach because the lectures are developed by the instructed in the form of video and are posted online on the blackboard or other respective online platforms. Student Involvement Theory
According to Tune et al (2013), the student involvement theory contributes as the guidance in the process of designing and developing an effective learning environment. The concept of student involvement includes the amount of psychological and physical energy that is directed by a student towards their social experience and academic progress. It is noticed that involvement functions as a continuum such as dedication of significant time to prepare for the class, participating in the organisations and extracurricular activities, studying, and involving with the instructors and peers. This progress would demonstrate high student involvement, while, a student that participants less in these activities represents lower involvement. The importance of student involvement can be determined based on the role in fostering the learning of student.

It is obvious that education, whether classroom instruction or practical drill, advice or entreaty, must ensure that students are positively involved, that they at least listen and pay attention to the words, actions, and the thoughts of their educators, instead of drifting off or doing something else, or simply leaving to try to learn what they need on their own (Prange 74).

By using this strategy, students are responsible of their own learning, the learning of the members in their group, and the ability to demonstrate what they know, understand, and are able to do.
Every video I watched displayed tools that I could use in my own classroom. The instructional strategies and models used in the classrooms were great. My current teaching philosophy about instructional strategies and models would be that they are great to use. As a teacher, looking for ways to help teach certain lessons is a must. Every teacher found different ways to teach the materials to their students. It is always great to have resources in the classroom to look back on. Students love to have resources to guide them. In the video (Case #1112), I would emulate their strategy by letting my students use a textbook. I feel that textbooks are reliable sources and can be used to validate certain materials. In the video, you can tell that the students were using the textbook as a tool to prove their discussion with each other. In the video (Case #876), I would avoid assessing my students in whole-group discussion. I would have my student in groups to see how they communicate with each t=other about our discussion. Seeing my students evaluating each other’s opinions would be a great way into assessing their knowledge about the lesson. A classroom environment I would like to teach in would be with students who are ready to ask questions. Students who are not afraid to express their thoughts about the instruction. Education is one of the important tool to make a person more wise, knowledge and responsible towards society. People are transferred this education to other people, through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, or research. According to this perspective, student engagement has been defined as the ‘time and effort students devote to educationally purposeful activities’ (Kuh et al., 2008; Radloff & Coates, 2010). Students must be involved in useful and productive activities determined by educators and guided by governmental policy or societal expectations (Hagel, Carr, & Delvin, 2012). These nationwide surveys have usually focused on a range of institutional practices and student behaviour related to learning and development, such as the time spent on tasks, teaching practices, student-faculty interactions and institutional requirements or services. Although these studies are helpful for explaining the relationship between student behaviour and institutional practices, the understanding of student engagement from a behavioural perspective is too narrow. Just as Kahu (2013) observed, focusing on the elements that institutions can control excludes a wide range of other explanatory variables, including students’ motivations, emotions and expectations. Student engagement is a major component of higher education. One of the benefits of attending college is that students gain the ability to become well-rounded, cultural, and good leaders. There is a constant push to ensure that students are more involved in the clubs and organizations. According to Astin’s Theory of Involvement, students need to be actively engaged in their surroundings in order to learn and cultivate in college (Evans, Forney, and Guido-DiBrito, 1998).
