First Day of My Metamorphosis
BBC just released a documentary video about the comparison of the education systems and teaching methodologies between China and Britain.Unfortunately and fortunately,I am a mixed product of the two immeasurably different systems.Between these two systems,there are enormous contrasts in terms of emotion and rationality,innovation and diligence.There are a bunch of changes in our life, that’s why a positive mentality is need-ed. ‘To live a beautiful life, one must be tolerant, without complaint or explanation.’That’s why Franz Kafka once said so.
I grew up in Birmingham,Britain,uneventfully and peacefully.I can still remember the question my English teacher asked us in the first English class in my secondary school,which is a relaxed public school.
‘What is the significance of your study?’The final answer she gave us is
“Recognize yourself,be yourself”
What a thoughtful and philosophic preposition!
However,these fantasies stopped when I was 13.Suddenly and unexpectedly,I moved back to China and entered a world-famous high school,Heng Shui No.1 High School,which not only enjoys the reputation for enrollment rate to colleges,but also for the harsh and military management mode.

...hat class meeting,we were ordered to rush back to our dorms.There were 10 minutes before we went to bed,and most students used this interval to call their out-of-town family.They laughed,they cried,their sentiments erupted only in that 10 minutes.
This was my first day in what we called the ‘jail’.I think,hereto,readers can perceive how difficult and painful to adapt to the drastic surrounding,both linguistically and ideologically.However,my later story would be,in brief,I endured all of these and achieved the top 2000 in the CEE.Finally I was admitted by the Beijing Normal University after 3 years’ polish.Looking back to the old days,I genuinely feel thankful and will always treasure the tough memories.

In this paper, it will be looking at the culture and education practices of Finland, Canada, and China. Education varies from country to country as well as does one's culture, lifestyle of the people who live there. In doing so will review their culture and the role of their education policies that are used to motivate schools and teachers to improve student learning along with how their culture plays into learning. Furthermore, children should be taught with respect to their culture. However, we can also learn from one another. In addition, we have similar and different educational practices from one another. Such as when it comes to the Finnish, Canadians, to the Chinese as, we all learn in different environments because of our culture. Furthermore, and most importantly, thus educational practices vary from culture to culture. For instance, these counties are considered some of the best when it comes to education, Finland, Canada, China and it is because of their educational practices along with their culture government.
Nonetheless, it was neither the geographic disparities nor the tremendous cultural differences that obstruct the dream I had in mind. It all began when my parents’ disagreements accumulated. The language barrier barricaded my father’s will to stay. After countless quarrels, he terminated the marriage and fled back to Vietnam. As the adults drifted apart, the burden on my mother’s shoulders doubled. Left by our own, we struggled to make ends meet. Going to a four-year university, therefore, was no longer our option, especially when my sister and I were both entering college at the same time. So, despite my mom’s weak stamina, she toiled away working a straight 50 hours a week to put food on the table. Her limited English skills couldn’t get her a better job rather than being a minimum wage factory worker. My sister and I were exerting ourselves to our best capability at school in hopes to at least make her feel better, and to be told that we wouldn’t make it to graduate the year of. For a second, my family felt apart and all of my confidence collapsed; for a second, I thought this was the last call for me, that I would never be able to succeed or get anything done with my life: I felt helpless. As times like this, I was fortunate enough to have my siblings to share this feeling. It’s been a year and a half and my life has gotten a lot better. After changing accommodation, and switching to another high school, my sister and I were finally be able to graduate on time. We have been working on campus since Summer 2016 to shoulder the work for my mother. We were also saving money for transferring process later on. I will continue my passion of pursuing a Physics major and hopefully get transferred to UC Davis in a two year

In the story, The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka and Six Characters in Search of an Author by Luigi Pirandello, are about self-identity and how people were more interested other than themselves. By owning a name, this allowed people to have an identity and also defined who people were rather than roles that only claimed what people did. The feelings of loneliness and betrayal are feelings that we all feel one too many. Some have these feelings for a few simple days, and then those feelings soon pass. For others, however, this is a feeling that is felt for most of their lives. Our loneliness may make us feel alone, when our loneliness is actually common. In The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, the topic of alienation is an ongoing theme from beginning to end. I have interest in this passage because it reveals the writers understanding of a feeling that we all get from time to time. This novella helps us relive these emotions with an understanding that we are not alone in our loneliness.

Every day throughout the world, teachers strive to attain the most from their students in every aspect of life, from effective communication and language skills, to the development of individualism and the concept of being the best that you could be. With the use of exams, class discussions, and written assignments, educators subconsciously reinforce the idea that success can only be achieved from within, with personal expression and dedication to each and every task faced in modern existence. The world, as we see it today, has not evolved by people copying one another’s ideas. It has evolved from the willingness of individuals to step up and make their intentions known, to bring about new ideas and concepts to forever change the environment in which we live. All too often, though, due to stress, insufficient time allowance, or just plain laziness, people take the quickest and most unproblematic approach to getting work done, in turn, failing to play their part in society’s evolution by retaining individual ideas and viewpoints.
Right now, a buzz is going through the hall in which all the seniors are waiting and they look like bees swarming in the hall. It’s becoming hot and we’re all getting impatient. Amber is more composed and enjoying the good times in the present. She is standing there happy but sad to be dispersing from the rest of her classmates. Ann, the smartest one is having a little fun but not really. Her feelings are that of a person who realizes she’s going to miss what she had, but wanting to get the ceremony over with because it’s taking too long. Standing in that room we are together and enjoying one last real time capturing a picture with each other. Amber’s mom is so proud of her daughter that she keeps talking and smiling and trying to part of every MOMent. Amber is thinking to herself that she wishes her mom weren’t there but she’s ‘happy inside because someone is cooing over’ her. As Ann is standing beside Amber she keeps getting these expressions that say, she likes being with her friends but, ‘what is taking so long? Can’t we get out of these dang robes, yet?’
