On average, 31 Americans are killed with guns every day and 151 are seeking for a treatment in an emergency room because of a gun assault. Every day, around 46 people are either being murdered or shot. If an individual is having a gun in his/her household, it is 22 times more likely to be used to murder or harm in a family murder, suicide, or accidental gunfire, rather than to be used in self-protection.
