Final Reflection

My Final Reflection During the Personal Assessment Unit, I learned a lot about myself. We completed work to find out our personal and work values first. Through this, I realized that money, fame, and power are my strongest personal values. This makes sense to me because I am very revolved around succeeding and love to earn a lot of money through working hard. This leads me to my work values, which came out to be independence, recognition, and achievement. This is reflected on my personal values as well, because I enjoy being recognized and succeeding, as previously mentioned. I would like to be able to find a career and spend the rest of my life in ways that fit well with my personal and work values, and I will make my decisions about my future,

The various career research forums helped me to discover where and what type of career I am interested in. In addition, the career consultation really helped me narrow my decision down as well. I was originally torn between being a speech pathologist and a human resources manager, and speaking with an HR manager really helped me narrow this down. I realized I didn’t want to be one. Going through the lifestyles and career clusters, it made me realized that I am interested in a career that helps others, and I want to be around people and make an impact in people's lives. really look to make a difference in people's everyday lives, which is something that would be very prevalent while teaching people how to speak and make noises, since these tactics are used regularly on a daily

Going through the lessons about networking and the interview process really made me consider who I have around me that could aide in the career choosing process, as well as thinking about not burning any bridges, this way, in the future when looking for a career, I can have some options as to networking. Also, writing the resume really helped me to reflect on my past jobs such as Kali-O’s Juice box and being an assistant teacher at Gotta Dance, as well as my volunteer service I have done. This made me really take a step back and think about myself as a whole and helped me to realize that I am pretty well rounded with various careers and a surplus of volunteer services. Also, this helped me to think about exactly what employers are looking for when selecting employees, which I think is very helpful. They are looking for resumes and cover letters that are straight to the point and are forward about the candidates. Using what I learned throughout this unit, I will easily be prepared to find a pathway to a career, and give them exactly what they are looking
