Recommended: Core elements of strategic leadership

An excellent manager taps into talents and resources in order to support and bring out the best in others. I agree with this statement, as a great leader will tap into the talents of their team and strategically locate them in a position that will bring out the best in their people. There are several ways that they can accomplish this task, such as assessing what obstacles are in the way of your team's success and eliminating them, standing up for your people even when it is not the most popular stand, and expose them to different areas of the organization to enhance their skills (Schmitt, 2013). A good manager will also maintain a relationship with your employees so that they feel valued, encourage employee to keep learning, and give them ownership of their job.
