As the title of the documentary itself, there are many stories to tell. This film is based on the Polley family, that comes from Canada. Throughout the film, you quickly figure out how many secrets this family holds. The main purpose of Stories We Tell was to share the memory of the family, but maybe almost to remember Diane Polley as well. In the beginning of the film all the storytellers were told to talk about their impression of Diane Polley.
