"If you don't have neat writing you can spin them to help your finger muscles," he said. In addition, playing with fidget spinners will help strengthen your finger muscles to have better handwriting than before.
Fidget spinners help you focus on school work. In the scholastic letter it states “ So when we are using spinners in class, it might seem like we are playing, but the spinners were actually helping us focus. In Hands-on Squishy Circuits, AnnMarie Thomas showed us how she took a home-made PLAY-DOH recipe and turned it into a science experiment. It’s amazing that three and four year old children play with something so revolutionary. We may not realize this now, but if we start introducing this stuff to these children, they’re going to become such intelligent adults. I ask myself this question everyday,”Do I want my child to be successful in life, or let them flip burgers at McDonalds?”. I want my child to be able to learn and succeed as they progress in life. This is extremely important for children these
Fidget Spinners are the new popular kids toy in homes across the nation. All of the kids want fidget spinners. Everyone is having fun spinning these for hours doing tricks and more. Unfortunately, fidget spinners can be terrible too. The toy was originally intended to help kids especially those with attention disorders focus, but it seems to do the opposite. They are disrupting class, and are injuring hundreds of other kids. Kids should not use fidget spinners because they are dangerous, distracting and they are being misused.
Did you know that a lot of people play with fidget spinners? Fidget spinners are the most popular toy ever created because people are in love with these toys. The thing is that fidget spinners are a good focus tool to learn with and should be brought to school because it is good for learning and your skills to learn so you can get more skills. Fidget spinners shouldn’t be banned because the spinners are not a distraction, and they can help other people.
Imagine you are sitting in your classroom doing the work that the teacher assigned, and all of the sudden there is noise coming from behind you. While you are listening to this buzzing noise, you get very distracted by this noise, and cannot do your work. You turn around and see that the noise is coming from a girl who is playing with a fidget spinner. Fidget Spinners should not be allowed in the classroom because they are distracting, dangerous, and misused.
Censorship is the practice of concealing parts of a book, movie, show, or any other form of media. Media can be censored in many ways; one of these is to block out the offensive sections of the content. This is generally done when the content of said media is not considered overall offensive or inappropriate but has derogatory and/or blasphemous language. Another way Media can be censored is to have it banned completely. For a book to be banned, it must first be challenged. According the American Library Association, a challenge “is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group.” The question over censorship has been debated for years: Should we be allowed to ban Medias we deem unfit and/or inappropriate from our children?
In another interview, she said that the toy was created to help her daughter who suffered from myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disorder that causes muscle weakness. Catherine was not able to play with her daughter so she created a new toy using materials she found lying around the house. When Catherine’s daughter showed the toy to her friends, they also wanted a spinner.
Next, they are very distracting in classrooms. For example, in the middle of class someone could bring out the fidget spinner and start playing with it. As a result, many other kids would draw their attention to it and not focus on the lesson. Also, someone sitting around the person with the spinner might be distracted by the noise it makes and can’t focus on their work. Students could also use them for entertainment or to do something
Fidget spinners are a good idea for kids to use at school. I do get why kids should not have spinners, they get distracted but if anything they help people focus more. Fidget spinners help with anger issues and even anxiety. Schools should allow students to have them cause they are quiet and they don't stop others from learning.
In “Hooked on ‘Caramel-Colored Gold,” Melody Nelson claims “Despite the increased awareness of the benefits of good nutrition, we are a nation hooked on junk food, and many school administrators are taking advantage of the situation ” (par. 3). Nelson propose a ban on vending machines in schools because junk food is unhealthy for children, and they risk future health problems. I agree with Melody Nelson and believe that vending machines should be banned from school campuses, because they sell unhealthy food, they cause more money to schools for hiring extra custodians, and they are affecting children learning abilities.
First , vending machines should be allowed is because they could keep students focused . Sometimes kids get dizzy and don’t stay focused . So we need vending machines to prevent kids from getting ill . Also it would provide a greater selection of food options . So if the vending machines are here it would make students happy .
Assistive technology is often used by individuals with a learning disability. A learning disability “describes a neurobiological disorder in which a person’s brain works or is structured differently” (Lee1). A person’s abilities can be severely affected from a learning disability. They may listen differently, talk differently, write, spell, organize, and work with school subjects in a different way. Learning disabilities also affect people’s individual and personal lives to a great extent. According to the National Institutes of Health, one in seven children has a learning disability. The disability manifests itself when the child shows difficulty in reading, writing, spelling, and conversing with others. The added time they need to process information may make them seem less intelligent then others around them, but this is not the case. Individuals with learning disabilities are just as smart as anyone else; they just need to learn in a different way. The earlier a learning disability is noticed and detected, the earlier a child may be able to learn how to deal with or compensate for it (Lee 1). This is where assistive technology comes into play.

Technologies like computers or iPads (or anything with internet access for that matter) in the classroom could possibly distract students from their work. Classroom administrators seem to forget that the majority of students really don’t want to be in the classroom.. I remember when I was in highschool, whenever a teacher would bring students into a computer lab, or bring class sets of computers, or bring iPads into the classroom for a lesson a large portion would go onto twitter, or onto any unblocked flash game website whenever the teacher was not looking, try to access anything for them to “escape” the classroom. When there are a large majority of children and/or teens that do not want to go to school, and are given tools to be rebellious so easily, what is going to stop them? Aside, who really wants to sit through the same autonomous paper typing over and over again...
Ever since incidents such as 9/11 and Columbine, high schools have started implementing new rules regarding cellphones. Cellphones regard the attention of building managers, teachers, parents, and students. Although teachers see them as a distraction and a way to cheat, they can be quite helpful to students. School districts should permit students to use cellular devices in school for purposes of improving their education and providing themselves a sense of security.
