Feminism: the term that has been talked about more and more frequently today than it has ever been in the past. Feminism can be described as the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. But are feminists today really fighting for equal rights with men or are they fighting for some sort of female dominance? Anne Wollenberg, a writer for the Guardian newspaper agrees as she states that “if a man … says he hates women, he 's being sexist. Emma Teitel, author of “Feminism is Not Whatever You Want it to Be”, implies that feminists have lost focus. Teitel says that feminists focus so much on their shortcomings and how disadvantaged they are instead of taking any kind of action to fix these problems (1). Female privilege is being able to pull up your skirt of cry to get out of getting a ticket if you get pulled over. Female privilege is having the choice to marry rich and become a stay-at-home mother and not look like a dead-beat parent. When women call the police about a domestic violence issue, more often than not, their side is taken even if it was their fault. Women do not have to work heavy machinery in factory jobs while men still have to. Female privilege is being able to be caring and empathetic and helpful and not being surprised when they do. Women have a plethora of privileges compared the amount of privileges men have and yet strong-headed feminists still see themselves as not having enough rights. This is yet another example of the sexism that feminists impose on men. The issue is that these feminists are arrogantly seeing men as being sexist towards them while in turn they are being even more sexist towards
