Favorable Organizational Climate
Organizations employ people with various skills, educational backgrounds, ethics and morals. Learning to lead these individuals requires an attainable vision and mission. According to Clawson, “ A visionary leader looks ahead and ‘sees’ what the organization should become and uses that dream or panoramic view to guide communications with others in the organization-a key element in leadership” (Clawson, 2009). By consistently envisioning methods for the company’s success, leaders can construct effective methods to mobilize the energy within the company.
“Each of us carries implicit casual maps that explain our view of how the world operates” (Clawson, 2009). These preconscious thoughts enable us to innovate ways to work efficiently; therefore we help build our team members efficiently to innovate as well. Focusing on ways to improve helps the company’s bottom line and the employees’ work ethic.
Effective leaders know that in order to encourage work performance, they must use their employees’ values, assumptions, beliefs and expectations (VABEs) as a tool to construct instructions. According to Clawson, “ Leaders who confuse the concepts, content, and wording of the missions, visions, values, strategies, and goals present an unnecessarily confusing picture to their organizational members” (Clawson, 2009). It is vital to consider the big picture when being the leader. Practicing leadership tactics requires time and patience. Learning what particular methods and words indirectly push your employees to work proficiently, will serve as the foundation to understanding and using their VABEs to mobilize their work performance.

According to 1 John 2:16, “For the world offers only a craving for the physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world” (1 John 2: 16, NLT). God enriches us with the power to move ourselves to being valuable in His eyes and as public servants we all should exercise that gift and humble ourselves to work for Him in achieving favorable organizational climates.
