The popularity of fast food is becoming a big issue in America. Everywhere you look there are fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Burger King. The truth is, fast food restaurants are addictive and the food is delicious and as a result, people wind up going to those places almost every day. People need to be more aware that fast food isn’t the only delicious thing out there. People can cook things that are far more healthier and more delicious than fast food. When eating fast foods a person becomes less energetic and as a result, it may lead to obesity. Obesity creates many issues with the human body. With being obese a person has shortness of breath, joint issues, and high blood pressure. With excessive fat it creates no room for the organs and in effect, it compresses the lungs, which causes a person to have shortness of breath. Additionally, having too much weight on the body will have excessive strain on the legs and cause an enormous amount of pain and as a result, it forces people to sit in a wheel chair. Lastly, High blood pressure in the long run can affect a person’s heart and in effect, it can create a heart attack that may be lethal enough to end a person’s life. To illustrate these health issues is a show called My six-hundred pound life. In this show, it shows the effects of obesity and the journey to lose all their weight with the help of gastric bypass surgery. These women suffer from many health issues and some of them cannot live without the help of a wheel chair or even an oxygen tank.
