All three of the characters in the stories including Farah Ahmedi, Walt Masters, And Bilbo Baggins undertook their goals and missions by never giving up and to help the other people around them like Ghulam Ali in the story "The other side of the sky" Ghulam saw that Farah and her mother were in need of getting across the border so he helped them when they were in need of help. Bilbo in the "Hobbit" went on a dangerous journey to help the dwarfs get their home back and Walt in the "King of Mazy May" stopped the men from jumping his neighbors claim even though he was anxious at first but he felt like he should have did something to help. First, Farah Ahmedi and her mother were desperate to get across the border but regrettably people were paying the guards in desperation to let people pass by but Farah didn't have any money. Also they had no where to go but when a women told them about her husband she said that he could get them across the border and when Ghulam Ali heard their story he knew he needed to help them and said "Yes of course you can come with us" and "You and your mother are in my care now" And Farah later learned that Ghulam Ali was a good man and he gave her hope and in the end Farah and her mother made it across the border. …show more content…

But Bilbo decides to go anyway and he doesn't fight at first but once he see's one of the dwarfs in trouble Bilbo helps him out even though the dwarf Thorin didn't think he was supposed to be the one for the fourteenth man of expedition but fortunately Bilbo ends up staying to fight with the dwarfs to get their home
