Family History
She is a 22 year old female, she comes from a Hispanic background. Both of her parents are Dominican, they were both born in the Dominican Republic. Her mother migrated to the United States at the age of 12. She later on got married in the Dominican Republic. In 1994 her father migrated to the United States to be with her mother and her. She is the oldest of three, she has a younger brother who is 18 years old and a little sister who is 11 years old. She was born in the United States, but spent some time in the Dominican Republic with her grandmother. Her grandmother passed away in 2012 from colon cancer, it was one of the hardest things that the family has ever dealt with. She did have anemia once in her life, there are certain illnesses that run in her family such as cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure. For now she shows a sign of good health.
Social Support
She is very family oriented, her family is always there when she needs them. She has a small circle of friends from high school that she still keeps in contact with and there are also friends that she has made in college her undergrad year. She has never tried or want to use drugs, she drinks on special occasions with friends and families. She also has one close friend from work who is like a mentor who has always given her advice on life and what to expect. Having friends and family supporting her motivates her to be someone inspiring to others in the future.
Educational History
She attended Mercy College for undergrad. She majored in Psychology and received her B.S, she also graduated with honors and was inducted into the PSI CHI honors society. She is now attending St. Johns University in order to obtain her masters degree in clinical mental health and counseling.

She is very family oriented with her mother’s side of the family. Her grandmother’s passing caused a dent in the family’s unity. Her grandfather started drinking more than he normally drinks causing him to have brain seizures. With her grandmother’s passing and her grandfather getting ill, this caused her to become stressed. She is the oldest of three children where she has to set the example for her brother and sister. Most of the time she feels a lot of pressure because she has big shoes to fill. She has only had one job her entire life. She works as an assistant in a legal recruiting company. She enjoys her job because of the flexibility that it offers. She identifies as being a Christian because her grandmother raised her into the religion. She was born in the United State and identifies more with being an American but remains loyal to her Dominican background. She tends to over think things too much causing her to stress about the smallest
