Fall Dance Concert The Mississippi School of the Arts puts on an annual fall dance concert during the month of October, held in the Enchos Hall at 7:00 p.m the 19th-21st . In the show the seniors showcase their junior pieces that they choreographed last year, and some showcase their solo that they have been working on. Within the show the juniors of the dance department also showcased a group dance that they have been working on since the school year started. This year the concert consisted of many different styles of dancing, lasting almost two hours long the dancers put on a show that many said was like none other.

The music was a very interesting choice, but helped juniors feel their movement within the dance. The lighting for the dance was pleasing to the eye. The movement that the dancers choreographed was meant to show everyone's individual strengths, having a combination of the dancers abilities to omit some of their work and comment to others. This dance was not an easy process for the dancers, many times the dance did not work out for them, but at the end they pulled through and was able to open the second half of the fall dance concert. Another piece in the concert was a solo performed by Grace Sanders titled Ever-Changing Horizons. This dance was in the first half of the show and was the second dance that was performed. As seniors, they were placed with the task of creating a solo to represent them as a senior dancer. Showing the audience their growth and how they have learned as a dancer at the Mississippi School of the Arts. The costume for this dance was simple, a black sports bra covered by a multi colored spaghetti strap shirt with black biker shorts. The dancer choice of movement demonstrated their qualities of movement while showcasing the lab-on efforts and the six qualities of movement. Dancers also took movement from their junior pieces that they choreographed. The music for this dance was a remix of an original song titled Heart Cry by drehz. This duet was a great example of how two different dancers can come together and create a dance that expresses the strength as an individual and their strength
