Recommended: Importance of photosynthesis

The reason why the trees start to shed their leaves is because that is how they will survive in the cold it either they protect the leaves or they have to sacrifice the leaves to protect themselves. Different color leaves have different ways of why they are that color, the first one is spring and summer which is the color green. When the leaves are green it's from a chlorophyll that is important with photosynthesis. When it starts getting into the season of Autumn, we start to get less sunlight since the sun is mostly on the other side of the planet. It is known that chlorophyll tends to get sluggish or stops working since the sun is not there to make the leaves produce that chlorophyll. So the trees respond by stopping everything they're doing including making food which is photosynthesis and if it's starting to shut down then the chlorophyll stops working as well and that is what makes the leaves green. So when the chlorophyll stops working then the leaves will loose the green color and when it is completely yellow orange then the chlorophyll is done and gone. As the colors are app...
