Allan and I have been together for about 14 years (as has been mentioned a number of times tonight) and during that time we've been through a lot. But he has many wonderful qualities - charms, brains & beauty are sadly the only ones missing! No seriously, I would like to thank Allan for being the person that he is. He is good company and is funny, affectionate and loving and he's a friend as well as a partner and it means a lot to be is wife after so many years. I would now like to drink my own private toast to him and or future together.
“Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth,” (Williams), happiness is true to me, it has brought me many incredible memories into my life and got me through some very rough times, I believe happiness is the truth. Nothing will sink me down no matter what people say or think, “Can’t nothing bring me down,” (Williams). I will not let anyone or anything interfere with my happiness, I will not back down from a challenge, “Well, give me all you got, don’t hold it back,” (Williams verse 2). Happiness is what keeps me going, it’s what makes me the person I am today and it lies within me, “Happiness is everything,” (Steere).
To obtain your definition of happiness, firstly, be more optimistic and have a positive outlook on all opportunities and not look for “happy moments,” because “happy moments” can last for so long. All in all, happiness equals appreciating each and every moment for whatever it has to offer, and to add personal values and purpose onto your life. This all might make happiness hard to achieve, but the up side is that happiness can be created in any situation. There are plenty of stories of people facing hardships in their life, but would still find happiness in their family, faith, and career, and the hardships just doesn’t seem too hard after all.
So far the day has been an amazing experience and I am sure it can only get better. I would also like to thank you on behalf of Isia for all the love and help you have given her over the years. I thank you for making Isia the most loving, caring, sweet and kind person I have ever met. I really am the luckiest man alive. Thanks to Mom and Dad: I would now like to thank my own mom and dad for all the love and support they have given me over the years.
True, they can't run to their goals physically or metaphorically but that doesn't mean they'll never reach them. Slowly but surely with the help of their family, teachers and friends they can achieve whatever they want. Obviously they still miss out on some of the joys of life but to me they seem a lot happier than most other seventeen year olds I know. Their paths are straight, their aims are high and the smallest joy brings a smile to their faces and laughter to their eyes. I am thankful for the opportunity I was given to go there and meet those great people.
To follow a life of success, happiness, and fulfillment will always begin by observing ourselves, from finding inner peace, figuring out your purpose, and pursuing it through hard work with the passion to commit in to our goal that will shape up our life. Without persistence and hard work it is impossible to succeed. A life without direction could lead to a path of uncertainty and without contentment. Also a life without inner peace is a life without true happiness. Every success requires hard work.
The major difference between the two theories is that in Hedonism, everything you do must make you happy, including the journey. Hedonism may sound perfect, but it really limits what you can do. The Desire Satisfaction Theory, on the other hand, allows us to fully live life to the fullest. Desire Satisfaction allows one to endure pain and challenges, which ultimately allows for us to grow as people and fully enjoy life. Hedonism is restrictive, as it does not allow us to endure life’s tough challenges which allow us to gain experience and knowledge.
Sometimes due to lack of knowledge, decisions may take us to greater extent of risk. It’s my personal opinion, that every person on this earth aspects the risk but probability varies. In my life, sometimes I am idealistic or pragmatist or opportunists too, as these things have their own importance in my life. For example, if have set a goal in my life first I need to be idealistic so that I can pursue my aim in my life without ignoring the ethics and moral values of my life, but later I need to be pragmatist to attain my objective but if along with this ...
It can be a nearly impossible task for anyone to break away from how they have been raised and from the people who have raised them. A person would not only need to have motivation, but an iron will. They would need to be able to be patient, for it would take a large amount of time to be able to pull their selves away from the life that they were born into, and to create for their selves a new life. All of this relies on the multiple factors that can effect a person from being able to leave their old lifestyle and create a better one for them to live in. It can be a nearly impossible task for anyone to break away from how they were raised and from who had raised them.
