Two movies with external conflicts are Captain America: Civil War and The Shining. Captain America: Civil War’s conflict was that the government was not happy with how the Avengers were fighting their wars, primarily because there were hundreds of millions of dollars in damages to the cities and civilian deaths. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers start fighting with each other over how to solve the issue, with Tony on the government’s side and Steve basically saying that he is a traitor. They end up splitting up the Avengers with this fight, and the whole group ends up in a war against each other.
