Expropriation of land and buildings is unethical; it should be viewed as piracy because the government is literally taking your personal property. It is supposed to be used towards: “…enlarge or improve public buildings, roads, parks and services.” (British Columbia Provincial Government, 2012) However, this isn't always the case and there is no standard or regulation to what defines these improvements/services and no consequences if these benefits do not come to fruition.
The definition of expropriation is to dispossess someone of property; to take it away. The definition of piracy is considered an act of robbery. When the government moves in on a piece of property and obtains ownership of the asset against the owners will; this is theft. The only difference is a legislation which is merely a piece of paper which states they have the right to take it away from you. The government states that they will use the land to better the public and however this undermines any other plans the owner may have had for the property. The thing about buildings and land is that they can transcend generations and while the current owner may not have the resources to develop their property the government is taking this opportunity from the owners children and all other future generations because the government knows what is best. Ultimately the government obtains your property without your full consent and it is precisely this reason which makes it unquestionably unethical. It is what pirates do best; plundering the land from the sea without commission from a sovereign nation. There was no authority over the pirates and they did as they pleased; much like current governments which act as one entity and the highest authority. Suppose you protest se...

Iceland recognizes the issue of eminent domain, as they have had trouble with this in regards to geothermal deposits. However, they agree with the ECHR regarding rights to fair compensation. Governments should only take property if it will benefit the public as a whole.

To achieve this marvelous hairstyle you are to start with a small curling iron to curl your hair. Then with the help of a backcombing brush create volume at the roots in the back of your head. The next step is to complete the French braid but quite loosely, for doing it you need to begin on one side of the head in the middle back area and to end on the opposite side at the nape of your neck. If you desire you may leave bangs. To give a messier look it is advisable to use a rat tail comb to pull out some pieces thus gently loosen the braid. In case you feel the necessity to place the curls that have fallen out of the braid you may use bobby pins. And finally, apply some light hold finishing spray. In addition, this pretty hairstyle for long hair will look great on every woman that wants to make her round face appear slimmer. And, of course, long and thick hair is perfect for this

Braids. The action of using three or more strands to weave hair together and form a cohesive piece. Braids have been around for thousands of years as a means to maintain and protect one’s hair, scalp, and edges. Over time, different ethnic groups came up with different techniques on how to braid hair. In the African and African-American communities, cornrows became a popular technique because of its protective value and versatility. However, in mainstream media, cornrows were not nearly as accepted. There have been several instances where cornrows have been dubbed as on trend, edgy, and/or beautiful, but these titles are overwhelmingly awarded to the white women who wear them. In the past, it was Bo Derek in the 1979 romantic comedy 10 or Christina

Even though there are positives to having public housing there are still some negatives that are present when looking at the way government is involved with housing programs. With having the federal government involved and giving up most of the responsibilities to provincial government it was a loss for the money that would be provided to fixing up and creating new public housing. Like in Regent Park a lot of the public housing that had been made by the federal government has been starting to be demolished to make areas that will bring in more economic

...ulted in widely ranged political and legal protests, including petitions to the Government and the Crown, legal challenges in defense of Aboriginal resource rights and land, and careful enforcing of the Indian Act’s regulations. The federal government often responded with harsh legislative measures to the Indian Act, such as outlawing the Potlatch (and subsequently, arresting those who publically continued to engage in cultural practices), and disallowing of hiring lawyers to pursue Aboriginal rights through court. The passage of such laws, however, did not stop Indigenous groups, and they continued to meet, organize, maintain cultural traditions, and retain respect for hereditary leaders. But, since they lived in such an oppressive society, the Canadian Government continued to have reign over their lives and their opportunities to participate in a broader society.

The term “impure public goods” designates a system where resources are regulated by a mix of both private and public regulation systems. According to Wade, it offers an alternative to purely private or public forms of regulation: “A third option—local collective action—needs to be taken seriously. Because less public money is likely to be needed for local collective action than for either privatization or state regulation, it makes financial sense to establish local rules where circumstances permit” (Wade 220). The hybridized system of impure public goods is used because it offers cost-cutting benefits, among others. As an example, Cinner’s findings on marine tenure systems, a form of impure public good regulation, suggest that “socioeconomic changes that will increase immigration, open new markets, and decrease dependence on marine resources may influence the ability of communities to employ or maintain exclusive marine tenure regimes. Under these scenarios, conservation and development strategies that rely on high excludability in a community's tenure may become challenged at their foundation” (Cinner). This demonstrates that by definition, impure public goods mu...
