Considering myself as a student in college, I plan on exploiting my strengths and strengthening my weak areas by taking advantage of all the opportunities I will be provided with as for academic activities. I will also showcase my current skills I developed in high school while also learning all the business procedures for my future career in Marketing.
In high school, I discovered my talent in marketing. I was always a socialite. I enjoyed being involved in activities that took place inside the school as well as outside. I was an extreme extrovert. I was involved in any and every cause that had to deal with the advancement for children’s education. I would organize events for the neighborhood youth. From plays to dance performances, acting skits and more. I have always found myself volunteering for school projects and benefits, toys for tots being favorite. I enjoyed hands on activities that had to do with organizing events. I always took the leadership role in planning activities and events. I had a wide variety of interests but I always found myself in the field of business.
During my free time, I engaged in business like activities, such as marketing. I have managed to write, produce, direct, edit and market work of my own as well as others. My strengths are speaking, writing, creating scripts for film projects, team leading and building assignments. My strengths will help me succeed in my career of Marketing. My speaking skills will help me communicate clearly to others. My writing skills will help me communicate in a written form as well as draft up plans. My talent in creating scripts for movies and commercials will help me in advertising. My team leading skills I developed and my skills in building assignments will hel...

... more business majors I meet, the better my reputation will be in the business.
In high school, I had four years to figure out what I really wanted. I had such a variety of interests, I went from wanting to be a teacher, to a nurse, fashion designer, entertainer, and then I made the decision of marketing. Marketing as a business major allows me to get involved in all my interests I have now. I can promote or create campaigns for all my interests and I can utilize the skills, strengths and experience I know I have to my best ability.
I have realized my strengths and I am aware of my weaknesses. In college, I plan to strengthen my weaknesses, I have a lot of patience and I am ready to take the challenge of mastering new skills. I have chosen my major for a career I enjoy and I plan to fully take advantage of my bachelor’s degree to the fullest and start my business.
As a child growing up I was taught that being a business man was substantial in becoming a man. My father always made it his responsibility to engineer the foundation of business. His main goal for his son was to become an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, I became interested in a different field. With the same intentions of staying in business, business analyst grew on me unexpectedly. My father being the disciplinarian kept me business orientated but sports had an effect as well. Life began to hit me once I was leaving High School. As a high school student, I chose to take business classes but my attention was more so in sports. As a basketball player for 1-2 years and taking business classes, I became distracted in finding my career until I took this business class. The business class involved analyzing a business organization to examine its weakness and
In conclusion, my aspiration has grown due to the passionate and dedicated professors I have encountered in all of my classes so far at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I could not see myself anywhere else but here. I have experienced the knowledge my professors bring to class, their gift of bringing my abilities out, and being able to eliminate my anxiety. I continue to remain focused and believe that I will succeed by receiving daily assurance from classmates and my professors. I do not see myself experiencing any of this, that I have experienced at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, at any other university.
She explains how these relationships might improve and shape college into becoming an ideal, engaging learning environment for students. Explaining what she thinks university faculty should do to prepare students for their futures, Small tells her readers she “[does] not know yet what making the academy/real world connection fully entails.” Colleges do provide sufficient internship and job opportunities for students, but in a sense, the college experience itself can serve as a preview on what to expect in the “real world.” Once students graduate and get their degrees, they may no longer have to stress about academics, but they will still have several other responsibilities, such as their careers, money, and family to balance. They will experience an even broader form of diversity, continue to make connections and meet people who have different ideas and opinions. If college gave students so many options to pave their path to the “real world,” the “real world” will open even more options for them to plan the rest of their
Similarly, I will continue my explorations outside of the classroom to enrich the quality of my time at college as well as those around me. Between classes, I see myself with new friends, but it is hard to predict what I will be up to. Investigating the area is definitely one of the first things I would do if I attend Boulder. Besides this, I will participate in clubs on campus and volunteer to the community. These are two factors of my life that I intend to carry with me in college because they have been a crucial part in my personal development, and I find it my responsibility to remain devoted to the rest of the world. Now back to the academic side, I chose to major in chemical engineering so that I can conduct research and apply my knowledge in a way that will benefit society and the planet. With this as my primary career goal, I do not take the decision of a college lightly, for it feels as if my life has prepared me for this calling. The school I attend will be an accurate fit of this model in which I seek, and I hope to carry out this passion at a school that encompasses this deep
When it comes to being goal driven, college has not changed me a whole lot in that aspect; instead it has fueled that part of me. Being a non-traditional college student has laid many challenges in front of me that has incited my goal driven nature and made me more determined than ever before. Now if ...
I hope that by sharing my personal statement, I have been able to give you an insight into the person I am and what I hope to achieve. I have included what I have felt to be the most significant influences on my career choice. I expect undergraduate school to continue to be a journey which I embark upon with great
Although college is challenging, I am going to succeed by using advice from others, by developing strategies, and by setting goals for myself. College is not for everybody that is why I have to be focused on my goals if I want to be successful one day. I want to be one of those students who graduate. “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” – Thomas
My first year in college has been a rewarding experience. As I look back on my Why College, Why Now essay, I realize that I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about myself. I am proud that I accomplished my goals I made in my first year of college and I exceeded my expectations. I still have the same goal for the future, but I added more goals for the future. I am attending Wilmington University because I want to make my future brighter. Attending college and earning a degree in communication media will help me obtain an exciting job as a professional journalist.
There is so much to be offered at ________________ University for people like me, such as intramural soccer and basketball, environmental and study clubs, and the honors college. As I’m not sure what career I’d like to pursue for the rest of my life, I’m excited to be able to explore my options in college. I am both eager and nervous to start the next chapter of my life down the unique path of my own choice. I know that what lies ahead of me may be new and scary, but I also know that if I stay true to myself and go with what I feel is best, there will always be hope in the distance no matter what choices I make. I try not to get caught up looking ahead in my future, letting my doubts and worries get to me too much. I set my goals high because I will not let anything or anyone convince me that I’m not good enough, smart enough, or experienced enough to achieve what I want to accomplish. I am determined to carve the path to my future unapologetically, and let the rest fall into
I gave this paper a lot of thought before I began to write. ?What qualities and traits do I posses that make me desirable as an employee, a teammate, and as a person?? First, you must be able to identify your own personal strengths and weaknesses in order to become a lifelong learner and an essential part of a ?team?. As technology is constantly growing you have to be willing to accept what makes you an asset or a liability in any given situation you may encounter in your life. The qualities and traits that I feel make me a valuable entity to my employers, co-workers, classmates and within my personal relationships are varied. I will go on to describe some of the attributes I think are most important in establishing and maintaining successful relationships whether personal or work related.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
I ended up contacting 3 of my family members, and I told them to be brutality honest with me. I also told them whatever they said to me would not hurt my feelings. The four people I contacted where my brother, mom and dad. My dad said that my strengths where that I’m independent and I like to work on my own, that I was very determined to be successful, and that I am very driven to be the best at everything. She said my weaknesses where time management since I sometimes put off homework till last minute, that processes where hard for me to follow because I like to do things my way, he also said that I am very needy for approval after I have completed something. My mom said that I am a hard worker and feel the need to compete tasks fast, that I am a very loyal friend, and I am very determined to succeed in life. She said for my weaknesses that I can sometimes be selfish when it comes to work because I care about me succeeding more then others, she also said that me being a loyal friend is also a weakness because I care about them as much as I care about myself, and finally she said that I can sometimes get distracted easily. According to my brother my strengths are that I am very studious when it comes to school and work, also that I am very determined in life,
A reason that this country works well is that everyone has diverse abilities which can contribute to everyday life. Some people let those abilities shine at work, in their personal life or both. As people have their strengths, they also have their weaknesses. There is a problem to improve those weaknesses when the weakness is not identified. Once the weak point is identified it needs to be resolved. A plan of action for improvement helps in solving the situation. In this paper, I will identify abilities and skills that I possess that contribute positively in my work environment, in my personal life, and in my learning team. I will also identify personal areas that need improvement, and outline a plan of action for improvement.
Most of my life has been focused on my career. I never really thought about my life outside of high school until my junior year. It was not until this year that I realized all the things that were involved with my career interests. Although I am very committed to my career choices. I have chosen to major in elementary education and minor in photography.
My first day at college ended up with great satisfaction, I though that going to college would be a great impact in my life . And being part of a class where I would learn so many things, gave me the strength to keep going. It would give the chance to relate with new people and of course, to meet new friends who could last for a life time. And of course, to become more independent. Although, I have to study hard, I feel good because I am doing the best to achieve my goals about finish college. Therefore, to obtain a professional career, with a good projection. Furthermore I also want my family to be proud of me, even though they are not with me. I want to become a successful woman in life , no matter If I have to try a million times I would never stop.
