"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This is my all-time favorite quote. It is my motivation when the skies around me become cloudy. It is the fuel that feeds my ever-growing hunger to dance. Living by this motto will help me achieve my goal of becoming not just a professional dancer, but also an inspiration to others. My strong extracurricular background provides for a solid base, serving as a great steppingstone as I reach closer and closer to making my dream a reality.
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. Even though I still curl my lip at the "Easter soup" (a vile concoction of vinegar and curdled milk that's sure to trigger acid reflux), I realize that it is a valuable skill to be able to cook for yourself. To be able to cook something that you like is to have the entire culinary world in the palm of your hand. After taking cooking lessons for the first time in third grade, I was constantly on the search for new recipes. I cooked anything that sounded good--Italian food, Korean food, French food, but certainly not Polish food!
My father likes to teach us, so that we can learn and cook them on our own. We usually sit at the table and prepare them while he cooks them. While we mix the dough and portion them out, he will flatten them out and will begin to put them on the stove
When considering cooking as a classroom activity, a great deal of cross-curricular links can be made with areas such as mathematics, religious education and cooking lessons can improve on a child's life skills. When preparing and making food, there tends to be an element of measuring; this has a clear link with maths concepts which children of all ages will be able to relate to (even children in foundation stage will experiment with filling cups/jugs up to a certain point in the water area.) Do I have the qualities to join this program? This is a question I have been asking myself for awhile. This program seems interesting, and I would be honored if I got in, even though there are multiple others who feel the same. Why did I choose nursing as a career? I chose nursing as my career choice because I love the idea of helping others and doing what I can to provide them with what they need. I also choose nursing as my career choice because I am interested in learning new things and using them in a social aspect. I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I always loved taking care of other people. I really went head over heels onto this career path when I was a freshman in high school. I started on this path when my mother fell sick and was in the hospital for six months when I was fifteen years old and the doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. Finally after six months my mom’s obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) doctor diagnosed her with chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS). From that moment on I decided I was going to push forward and pursue a career in nursing. In eleventh grade I started taking medical course. By the time I graduated high school I was a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Since high school I have been trying to get into nursing school
