“Right actions for the future are the best apologies for wrong ones in the past,” a quote that states that if you want to fix the mistakes that you have made earlier in life, you must not only say that you will, but also do so. People say that they will do things differently all of the time, but more often than not, they don’t. Therefore, actions are louder than words. Due to the fact that people always say things that they don’t mean, they must begin speaking with their actions. Nobody ever believes anything that they hear until they see it being done. For example, saying that you care about a person is one thing, but doing things to prove that you really do is another. Whether it be good or bad, things mean so much more to a person when
“All men make mistakes, but a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong, and repairs the evil. The only crime is pride.”
In Bill Clinton’s speech “I have sinned” showed that Clinton realized the mistakes he has done to others and ask them if he can ever be forgiven and not committing the same mistakes again. Clinton is sorry for the bad errors he had done and he has repented for what he has done and promises to make a better nation. In life, we all do bad things, but we tend to realize the mistakes we have done and we repent of what we had committed, so we could be a better person and the others around us would still have trust in us. Before we ask to forgive others we should actually forgive ourselves because what we have done not only affected the others but affected us emotionally because you feel guilty for the bad actions you caused to others. Usually it is us who
In the same way, both Wes Moore’s both regret in their childhood and through their adulthood about their mistake in their lives. This point is illustrated in the passage, “Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” (Quoted from Samuel Buckett)...“Failing does not make us a failure. But not trying to do better, to be better, does make us fools” (Moore 185). The explanation of quote point is the quote is to attempt till you succeed or never surrender. On the chance that you come up short once, attempt once more. On the chance that you fall flat second time, do it again. This disappointment again ought to be superior to the past disappointment. There ought to be some realizing and some change. They cannot make it in the first attempt. The (author) Wes Moore acknowledges and tries to enhance by taking a shot at the reasons of his
Everyone realizes that the people around them are not perfect and that sometimes people need to forgive and forget to move on with life. In some cases forgiving and getting are an option, but in others it may not. Depending on the circumstances what a person says now may be the last thing someone hears in their life because no one is promised tomorrow. Mistakes happen but people need to be careful with what they do. Life changes everyday and people wish they had one more chance to fix things that went wrong but sometimes you cannot go back in time.
close with a great quote from Mrs. Ida. B. Wells-Barnett “the way to right wrongs is to
Each person in this world makes mistakes. Nobody is at all perfect. There is no such thing as someone having perfection. Anybody around myself makes mistakes. The false move may be big or may be small. No matter how small or big a mistake is everyone makes them. I personally do not feel like I have made an enormous mistake yet. Does not mean it will not happen, it will happen. I have made plentiful small mistakes, for examples, staying up to late on Sunday night watching Netflix. Waiting to do my homework last minute. Embarrassing myself somehow, everyone at least some point in their lives embarrass themselves. Blaming someone else for my mistakes, I blame my sister, Erica on things that I have done. Spending money on useless things, I have
If you tried to fix a mistake and found out it is too late, you should not be angry at yourself, you should be happy that at least you tried to fix the mistake that you made. If the mistake is something that you did and there is a consequence that will come from it you should accept that consequence, then learn from that mistake. Also don’t allow yourself to believe that you did nothing wrong even though you tried to fix it, you made a mistake. Allow take blame, but do not destroy yourself with it Fixing a mistake and it being too late can be seen in Antigone when Creon decides to free Antigone, but it is too late and she decided to kill herself. Creon accepts the consequence, his son dying and realizes what he is guilty
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Actions speak louder than words.” We have all had experiences involving this concept whether it happened to us or maybe we have done it to someone else. In many cases people feel betrayed or even lonely after being deceived in a negative way. Friendships, relationships, and sometimes even families can be desolated by these actions. Is there any truth behind this thought provoking aphorism?
There are certain things that cannot be described with words, and that is why I think actions speak louder. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “actions speak louder than words.” I agree with that statement because when someone says they will do something it doesn’t mean that they actually will. I think that too many people make promises they know they won’t keep. Growing up I would have people I come and tell me they would do something and here 7 or 8 years later it still hasn’t happened. I think that after a while the kid will forget about what they were told but it still doesn’t take away from the disappointment when they realize that it won’t be happening.
The proposition that “Words don’t mean things, People mean things” is absolutely true. If you get into an argument with somebody and apologize, your words you say that you are sorry, but if your body language and intentions say no then you are not sorry. This is a matter of the heart because a person can say a statement but not mean it in his heart. When we are in a difficult situation the words we say will not matter on the final product, but what will matter is how we react to a situation. Many of the communication cues will come from the body language that we give off while we ...
...talk less; say more code. People will always know someone who just talks too much and makes up stories all of the time, but when you meet that person who says things and truly means all of them you have met a true person. Some that you can give respect to and always believe in them that they will follow through with whatever promises they may make to you. This code is one that will always be used and needed in certain ways. If people were to just talk and never back up what they were saying with proof of what they have supposedly done in their past then they are untrustworthy. Those are the talkers of the world. When someone does not say a thing, yet people know that they have done something marvelous then that is a truly good person. They do not need to gloat or be above anyone else; they can just sit and listen to the world around them because that is saying more.
Apology is a big word that many people are used to hear that one word. Most of these people in this society see thing different. Apology is a simple word. When I was about the age of 16 is disrespected my father. I didn't really mean to hurt his feelings, but it happened. I love my dad so much, he always been there for me.
Nobody is perfect and as we move forward in this era of self-knowledge and self-discovery, it is vital to acquire the ability to recognize our own mistakes. We all do some mistakes at some point of our lives which hurt another person. The difference lies acknowledging that we have done something wrong, some acknowledge immediately and some take time.
Being forgiving of other people’s mistakes is one thing we should never forget. When online it is easy to make mistakes. There is usually so much going on around us that it can become difficult to focus solely on what we are doing online. Thus, leading to mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes sometimes, so we all need to be understanding and forgiving of this (Shea, 2011).
